Not a good move to force PSN account linking. You sealed the public's opinion and what they expected when it didn't work at launch: giving us a clear option to skip it entirely with nothing in game to state that it'd be required further down the line, minus a small little box on the steam store page. And that's not even mentioning all of Sony's lovely data breaches!

It's a good game w/ friends regardless. I doubt this will affect it in the long run sadly, it'll likely stay afloat with disgruntled gamers yet again having more data harvested from them.

Yet again another game where goodwill gets flushed overnight thanks to Sony, what a shame.

Surprisingly Sony appears to have listened! While the decision itself by them is still deserving of Scorn and caution for the future, the player base will now no longer continue being split, and thus, looking at the game for what it is, I can wholeheartedly recommend it!

Here's the hoping we don't have similar situations again in the future.

Gosh, I keep on going back and forth with this but with good reason, I cannot still in good faith leave a positive rating on this game thanks to the recent PSN situation.

Though reviews were turned again into positive remarks thanks to Sony's withdrawal of PSN account migration being mandatory, the community cheered and brought the reviews back to mostly positive, we had got our way finally!

Except, well, we didn't. Though PSN account linking now is no longer mandatory, every single country that was blacklisted from being able to buy, play, or purchase the game, is VERY much still in effect, and has not been rolled back. In fact, this blacklist has only INCREASED, and that is after the review bombs.

This was the primary reason at least for myself as to why this account linking was so devastating, so many divers just locked out of the game for a system which the game worked totally fine without, and we're still feeling it even now after we "won".

I have to keep my review negative sadly for this reason alone. The game itself and the devs are a 8/10. Sony however, are being ostentatious, and sweeping it under the rug.

If you don't own it and are interested, buy it. Extremely fun to play solo or with friends if your into rouge-likes! Very high replay value, lots of way to build characters and exchange abilities, and much much more.

On sale the game is 100% worthwhile, and if you want some extra things to play with, the DLC's are nice additions!

Nah chief, there are a lot of time-sink games out there but this is one to avoid.

It's a shame really, the combat is interesting and the details on the vehicles / environments are great, but that's all it has going for it I'm afraid.

Review bombing aside I quit a while ago as it just doesn't feel as good as it could be due to the developers greed.

Though it has a slow start, FFXIV has one of the most engaging stories I've had a pleasure of playing so far, with fun dungeon runs, combat, a friendly community and ton's to do!

Would most definitely recommend for anybody interested in the MMO genre or the game in general, there's something in here for everyone! :)

After playing this game nearly completely through (minus some of the side-quests) I can definitely see why people adore this instalment into the Fallout franchise!

Definitely worth it for the money, get the DLC's though as this is where some of the best content lies IMO! :D

Bloody hell, what an absolute experience of a VR game.

Honestly, if you got this game free after buying an index or otherwise want to buy the game for your currently owned headset, it's definitely worth the time, play it and you'll love it! (even if it's spooky in places)

Unless it's within your budget however I wouldn't recommend purchasing a headset solely for this game alone, it's special but not over £600 special unless you're looking to get into VR! :P

Overall though, what a great game, great atmosphere, sound, gameplay, and story - solid 9/10 if not more!

Certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but granted you have a small circle of people to talk and explore with, it can be pretty fun! Just be sure to stay away from the dark side, it's a downward spiral from there...
