I love this game. Bought it for Xbox One back when it first came out and poured month after month into it, without much gap to play other games. I decided to pick it up on Steam to play the game over again and I've been having a great time.

But about a week ago (9/3/24) the servers started acting weird. It's basically impossible to play the game with multiplayer at this point. Attempting to connect to a session or SOS returns an error. And despite this issue being ongoing, Capcom has remained completely silent. They have not acknowledged the issue in any way, so they're either not aware of the issue or choosing to ignore it. It's for this reason that I just can't recommend the game.

In all honesty, I don't think that the Steam Controller is better than the Xbone controller [or a mouse and keyboard, for that matter], but it can do a number of things that standard controllers cannot. You can use it with games that normally can't use controllers using button configurations that are completely customizable and can even be downloaded from other users. The touch pads take a bit of taking used to but the added functionallity and customization makes them worth working at.

All in all, the Steam Controller is feels a bit gimicky at first, but the more you use it the more useful you realize that it really is.

The Doppelganger is another wonderful addition to the Borderlands universe. He's voiced by the same guy that voices Handsome Jack, but shares none of his manerisms. He is an absolute delight to play and his skill trees are quite unique - he has a skill that only gives you inspiring words from Handsome Jack himself.

I actually enjoyed playing this, it's a fun little early game challenge map that helps you gain some quick exp. That said, I don't think it'd be worth the money to outright buy this since all you get is 5 3-wave challenges that aren't particularly difficult.

I agree with what other people are saying - it was definitely a cash grab. But let's not blame Gearbox since they had very little invovlement with the actual development of this game. This was 2K Austrailia and they were under a lot a pressure from 2K to get the content out.

Hopelessly addictive! 8 wonderfully unique factions that all seek to win the game in different ways. Has a relatively steep learning curve since the tutorial does not teach you everything. I've already put 25+ hours into the game (in the past two days, no less) and there are still things I don't understand or know how to do (trading has baffled me).

But the game is immensely fun with both tried and true traditional 4X game play mechanics and a bunch of new ones. Haven't played Endless Space, so I can't compare the two, but I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for when it goes on sale.

It's like Terraria in space. What's not to love?

Love, love, LOVE this game. I have wasted so many hours playing this game. A must play for any fan of Minecraft. 9/10.
