Wish I could have experienced the story, but the time limit mechanic introduced right after the tutorial turned me away. The store page advertises playing in Big Picture Mode with a Steam Controller. I did just that, and unfortunately the precision (mechanical and timing) needed for just the first level after the tutorial is too frustrating with a controller.

Locked to 30fps which makes the controls feel even worse than they already are. There's an obnoxious constant screenshake in the second half of the game due to one of the enemy types that makes the low framerate more unbearable. The ink "mechanic" is nothing more than a cause of deaths at the start of each level as you try to guess which way the level proceeds (up, down, or right). The bosses are trivial compared to the challenge of wrangling the controls.

The developers just removed Steam Input after years of supporting it. I've only ever played this game with a Steam Controller, so there's now no way I can recommend this game.

Nice logistic challenge to play for a round or two in between longer gaming sessions. Dark mode is a great addition.

Terrific party game, especially with drinks.

The one downside is that it is susceptible to quarterbacking, where one player in the group is more competent or starts memorizing the solutions. However, ramping up the difficulty or adding some new mods fixes that.

Avoid any spoilers and be sure to have a controller (Steam Controller works great).

This game ticks all the right boxes for me. I've been playing Factorio and following its development for several years now. It's one of the few games I've paid full price for. The dev team is great with communicating their goals and getting feedback from the community. This hardly feels like an early access game at this point. You can download a demo from their website, and if you enjoyed that in the slightest, then why are you still here reading this review?

Asks for a license key at level 13, but it will not accept the key I used to activate the game on steam. Literally unplayable.
