Not Recommended

TL;DR:

This game is abandonware, the devs released their last update and it almost feels like a scam, save your money, this game is not at all worth it, even on sale!

I absolutely loved this game, especially the multiplayer aspect, I spent just over 60 hours playing mainly the multiplayer (because the ai in singleplayer was total garbage) alone or with friends and enjoyed pretty much every second of it. But unfortunately from the development team's behaviour surrounding updates and adding in the modding tool I knew something was amiss and so did a lot of other people, the game soon became almost entirely abandoned by the playerbase and it was a rarity to see other players online.

As of writing, I just woke up on the morning of August 12th in Australia, not long after the devs released their final update (in their own words) on the 11th I'm assuming US time. They say they're happy with the state the game is in, but I don't think that's true and I know the community doesn't feel that is true as recent reviews are "Very Negative" and overall reviews are "Mostly Positive", down from being "Overwhelmingly Positive". For whatever reason it seems the devs never had the drive to support this game right from the start and from now on it is abandonware.

I believed with all my heart that this game could become very popular and was something special. It was for a time, but unfortunately that short period is over and I cannot recommend anyone buy this game, it's almost at the point where I'd call it a scam. I doubt the AI has changed, so even as a singleplayer title it is not worth $28.95 AUD.
