I suppose it was only a matter of time before the straw turned mountain of the Dev's greed broke the proverbial Playerbase's back, my hours put into War Thunder far exceed my Steam hours due to the time I put into their own client before shifting to Steam, and the economy has been constantly tweaked to the player's detriment and to the filling of the Dev's coffers.

Known a friend who constantly spent his own hard cash just to buy gold to convert in SL despite the horrible conversion rate, because they simply couldn't afford to progress their vehicles as they constantly made little money or made a loss if they ever dared to play without using a paid premium vehicle as a clutch to support their progress, so double the money sent to Gaijin.

Charming little stylish game in the vein of Sid Meier's Pirates! ship combat system

Early Access Review
Even at this early stage it's pretty impressive what people can do with this, even more so when it's mostly one guy developing this, can't wait to see the later features on the roadmap

It's a welcome improvement over 4.1, with many quality of life choices and giving incentive to try other classes aswell as allowing sticking to one class if they prefer.

Gameplay is essentially the same, though the rebooted story allows some interesting new enemies to come about, and despitre some flashier effects, the game still runs well on my average spec game laptop (though some work had to be done to fix initial starting issues).

Only great downside was the EDF Troop chant, being much more... sobre and serious, compared to 4.1's Battle Hymn of the Republic rendition, but you can't improve perfection as they say.

It's hard to put it down just why I like this overall, coming from the original Insurgency Source and following through the sequel developments such Day of Infamy, it combines the class system, kit loadout and gun modabilty via 'supply points' from the original Insurgency, and the Commander-Radioman interactions and call-ins added in Day of Infamy that made battles much more intensive and promoted cooperation between atleast two members of a team.

All this overall work coming together into one game and with emphasis on hardcore lethality and application of real-world tactics and thinking, and the Bots aswell... the Coop modes with bots tend to be a great mixed bag, and simulate reactions something similar to actual players, sometimes you might dead instantly while crossing the road due to some lucky shot from a bot, the same can happen in a multiplayer game, albiet more likely since it's a player with human reactions; though other times you could be standing less than 20 yards away and have the bots miss or nick your character with the slightest of strafing. Bot pathfinding is still rudimentary thus far, and they will very occasionally march down an open road to an objective and not use cover (an argument could be made that players do the same if they perceive to be in a safe area), but once in the high traffic areas such as around objectives, Bots will start moving and engaging from any and all possible angles and points of entry, and they do make liberal use of throwables, from frags, smokes, flashbangs and molotovs, and although reduced somewhat from release, Bots still have the uncanny ability to throw a Molly just right, to land on a player behind cover or in their face.

All together it makes Coop mode for Insurgency: Sandstorm very engaging and enjoyable for me (who mainly likes coop games) the bots give a nice challenge and the sense of satisfaction once you complete all objectives and beat the bots as they throw everything close to the end.

A wonderful story between two characters of opposing sides that destiny has intertwined together in the Trenches, I certainly love this creation that Digixart and Aardman have made together and is a perfect release for the centenary of the armistice of the Great War.

Puts a good twist on the World of X genre of games, first being that it's focused on Rotory-wing aircraft which gives it an immediately unique feature in the genre, second is that it's not a free-to-play title which may give some people pause having to consider paying money upfront, but that allows the game to be free of any predatory or restrictive money walls and 'pay-to-win' elements in the gameplay.

While there is some grinding it's reletively minimal and you can expect to atleast unlock something after every game, whether it be new helicopters, weapon loadouts, or camos to decorate your flying machine, and what additional DLC there is, is currently only the soundtrack and the rest purely cosmetic: more camos for your choppers.

Having being released only recently and with a good, passionate community behind it, it's going to be interesting to see just how far the Devs can make this great game greater.

This game is really fun, it's been out on Desura for about 2 years now and it's really changed since I last saw it.

You start as a simple private in a big battleground along with numerous AI soldiers, you may start running about like a headless chicken but if you follow the flow of troops or the attack orders you'll quickly find combat. And quickly catch a stray bullet to the face.

Well done you've had your first death in Running with Rifles, there's a reason they teach you not to run with scissors and rifles are no exception. But thankfully at the start death is not really a detriment, with the push of a button you're spawned back to the nearest spawn point and can run off to get killed again but hopefully you'll take some with you and learn to use the environment as cover.

As you kill, be killed, and rank up you'll get access to new toys and get the ability to command your own AI squad, starting with your own little private who follows you around and tries their best to help you as they go through the same process as you did. You won't get the same private sadly, once he dies you just nick another one from some other AI's squad. Eventually you'll be able to lead the charge and take over enemy positions with you and your squad, along with generous helpings of parabourne troops and mortar strikes.

I'm a bit dissappointed that is awesome game hasn't had any promotions on the Steam page, it was only by chance did I see it in the early access page. This is a definitely fun game to play and the more people we get on the multiplayer servers the better.
