This is a good game. I'm someone who has played every monster hunter game since the psp era, my hands still claw to this day. I would like to say that I'm completely satisfied with this game but that's not true. In short, the gameplay is the best it's ever been in a monster hunter game, but content-wise it's a bit lacking at the moment. Don't get me wrong, it's not a short game by any means, but compared to previous games in the franchise it ends early. This is mostly due to the lack of a G rank, which is basically the end game content that used to exist in monster hunter games. It would usually bring new monsters and old monsters would give you new versions of their armor and weapons could be further upgraded. Now, there is a large dlc coming sometime next year, which may fulfill this but we don't really know yet. I dunno.

Anyways my main complaints with the game are these:
-lack of good endgame
-a lot of the weapons in a tree look very similar to each other, unlike previous games
-small variety of monster skeletons
-occasional disconnecting online

Good stuff is:
-gameplay and gameplay loop is really fun
-lots of improvements from previous games
-poogie

-Lots of bugs
-You're a bug

This game is brutal and relentless, however, it is also very rewarding to play. The feeling you get when you figure out how to beat a boss or when you level up enough to be able to use that new greatsword you got is incredible. This game is very fun, however you pretty much have to have a game controller to use for the PC, as the pc controls are not very good. Overall a great game. If you like monster hunter or games similar, you will like Dark Souls.
