The game is solid, always has been. The overwhelmingly negative response is no reason not to play the game, just a reason not to pay any money at all for it. Play it, enjoy it, just DON'T spend money on it.

The game was excellent, still a little buggy, but I really enjoyed it, will definitely be doing a second playthrough. Looks like modders have done an excellent job with it too.
