This community has ruined the game in conjunction with the failure of the aggression based matchmaking.

That is not it at all. I am an overall friendly player by choice. I spent a week of getting shot in the face to get out of PvP lobbies. 8 hours a day for 7 days, shot in the face every match. That was my punishment for killing 10 players for an achievement before I attained a lobby I wasn't shot on sight. I have an equal amount of saving people as I do killing people in this game, and I am still punished because I killed my first raider; that achievement "Crossed the line"? Thats the signal to the game that you will never have a chill lobby ever again.

Let me give you an example that will happen to everyone at least one time; You are looting. You have multiple items, maybe purples, maybe yellows. You are at extraction and someone shoots you in the back. You turn around and kill them on the spot because thats how it should be. Aggression match making now says you are an aggressive player and belong in more pvp focused lobbies. Throw a grenade and accidental player damage? PVP lobby. Swing at a tick and clock someone with a raider tool? PVP lobby once again. Worst part is that it cannot be fixed in one game, you are doomed to be shot in the face for at least the next 7 matches you play. Thats why I quit. I should not be punished for self defense, and I have better things to do with my time.

I won't be returning to Speranza. I am setting out on my expedition. You will though. It is a good game.

Its pretty good. Skills cap at 50 right now going from 40k xp needed to 100M. Combat is alright, the spells are the fun part... But the spells and archery are presently not implemented as skills either. I can honestly say I do not know what I am doing anymore. I was on a mission to slay a dragon and built a village on accident.

I used to play games like this style a long time ago. Motherload from Miniclip, if anyone here remembers. I had hoped to recapture that feeling but it just does not do it. I finished it to the end twice in one hour total and it just does not feel sandboxy enough for me.

I am saying yes I recommend it, but there are so many caveats. Warframe is my longest played game in my library. This game aged... okay. Controls are simple and movements are tank style in several scenarios which are unplayable by me. I did not finish the game, 24 hours played was accidentally leaving it on while I slept, worked, and slept again.

I like the story, I like the style. Many mechanics annoy me like there is zero stealth - you walk into a room into a hail of gunfire. First its bullet saturation, zero, then bullet saturation death. There really is no inbetween

I fell abck to the old reliable - when I feel like I cant functionally play a game, I watch someone else do it. And watching it was awesome. It balances out for me as a 51-49 recommend, but only just. I may be a little biased on it due to my attachment to Warframe and it being their pre-quel. Try it, and if not for you then watch someone else enjoy it.

I suffered through the game controls and overreliance on the glaive mechanic. The game really is excellent. Some of the voice acting is meh, but look at what we have right now from Sweet Baby and get back to me on it. This game felt like a horror game, it was hard. The mechanics and puzzles were hard in some cases and easy in others.

Game has become predatory using cosmetics locked behind impossible odds (See most recent drop at 0.06%) This is underaged gambling at its finest.

I spent a hefty chunk of change and was promised no duplicates in one of these loot boxes, and sure enough, I got duplicate of a prize on a pity where it said no dupes would be had. 33% chance for best prizes. Cosmetics give a massive disadvantage in the game as well, invisibility does not work with cosmetics and cause you to be high vis rather than invis.

What a joke. I love the game and will keep playing, but no more money for a gouging company.

Update; I have continued to play due to an irrational like for the game.

This game is horrid for PVP. Do not even bother with the PVP. Its all glitching and exploiting that are clearly indicated against doing in the TOS, but when reported they dont take action. PVP is all exploiting and glitching to the point that you are shooting at people who are legitimately TELEPORTING through the use of ingame mechanics and dog water server pinging. You lose wars because of further glitching - using RPG and other explosives from a distance that neither the player nor the rockets flying are visible - your base just disappears without warning. 6 season PVP vet and they have yet to fix this over nearly 5 months. Absolute joke of a company with a TOS that is riddled with more jokes. Haven't encountered anyone I suspect is cheating, why cheat when you can use game mechanics and bad servers?

Nope.

I can't even begin a mission. The game says I've done the tutorial before I've even played it, and it tells me to "enter the shuttle to lift off." I try to do that... And it just respawns me over and over. I got sick of the respawn, walk, active, respawn loop after 5 minutes and refunded.

The game looked really appealing to me but I immediately noted a few issues for me. When you run, there is a disjointed stutter that happens at all times that can't be disabled. This may be because I use an ultrawide, but it gave me a headache and made me feel motion sick very quickly - an issue I have never had before playing a game. Other than that, I just am not a fan of the systems within it. I hope the game succeeds because it has an incredible look to it, but its not for me.

Gotta be honest, I never thought I would enjoy a simulator type game.

Excellent and gripping story. I had guessed the ending by the time I got halfway through the game, but it still shook me anyway.

Pay full price, do not buy this on sale. It is absolutely worth it.

I don't mind a wait. The game is excellently made and a lot of fun. I waited 30 minutes for the first time to play, and played 4 or so hours straight. Progression doesn't seem like there is anything to do but blast enemies, and team cohesion usually sucks, but heck. Its a game about democracy. Play as a team and die together, run off and die alone, its your choice thanks to DEMOCRACY.

(Echoes review)
They added a ton, fixed a ton of things, and made this feel like a over the shoulder 3D Diablo to me. Not quite a "looter" but there is some looting involved. Lots of mini puzzles, secrets, etc. I've not seen how "World Boss" enemies have been changed yet, but they were previously on a timer on the MMO version of the game.

I have currently only played this version solo. I cannot vouch for any of the Coop measures theyve made changes to. As a solo player, this game feels incredible. The responsiveness theyve achieved when compared to the MMO online only is impeccable. The UI has had major overhauls, I'm still getting comfortable with it, but so far my favorite aspect is being able to hotswap finders in the middle of a dungeon - I don't know that it makes sense, but I really don't care. We can change loadouts in the middle of a dungeon which makes it so I no longer need to leave a run because I messed up.

Airships made a risky choice, and I truly think they made the right one. Please support the game, they deserve recognition on this. They listen to the gamers for the most part, sometimes it takes them longer than it should, but they are also more responsive with their changes.

If you want updates, they have an official discord you may want to follow since Steam news is slow. "Wayfinder" is all you need to put into Discord's server find to locate it. Again, please support these people and the company.

(Alpha/Beta MMO Review below)
This game has no business being as good as it is. Monster Hunter meets Dungeon Crawler. Minimal limitations are present at this time, all content is doable with appropriate skill level. Still considered Early access, perhaps alpha beta?

It has a lot of weird bugs. There are a lot of connection issues. The game has a lot of stability problems. The team is responsive in their discord and is willing to help where they can. I do not have many complaints about this game. The founders packs are optional, this game goes free to play in 2024 according to their road map.

Try it. Its atleast worth the 20 USD for early access.
