So far I am liking this one. It has the right balance of realism and fun!

This is my first full price purchase and I am very happy with it!

The Good:
> This route is exceptionally well made and detailed very well just like any route from High Iron Simulations
>signals are great and prototypical to real life and easily visible
> Wide variety of power is included and well modeled
> wide variety of rolling stock also modeled very well
> a few new rote assets (great for me being a route builder)
> not just a long boring mainline sitting in notch 2 for 150 miles
> actually plenty of switching opportunities available
>great scenarios included with switching and mainline running prevalent

The Bad
> sometimes I will get some frame rate drops
> Probably just on my end but this route does seem to like making my game crash due to the ol' Vertex buffer issue

Overall, I would recommend this route as it is just exceptionally well made and due to the wide variety of high quality power and rolling stock it provides. I would say I am definitely getting my moneys worth out of it. Keep it up High Iron!

I didn't realize that I have never reviewed this simulator. Considering the fact that I have played this simulator for almost 4000 hours of my life at the time I am writing this, I obviously enjoy this game.

Most other simulators to me, look in a way "toyish" as in the graphics, to me, just look too fake. Either that or they fall in the spectrum of over realism, making the game too real to be fun. This simulator falls perfectly in the middle. things look real and operations are simplified, but not too much.

The downsides to this game are becoming more and more known as i have played this simulator more and more.

the main downside is the hastily made, and WAY overpriced DLC. Most, if not all DLC has a deal-breaker qwerk. most of the time is is either locomotives not having set notches of power or the most prevalent. inconsistent breaks quality. the breaks either take ages to come on or ages to release this making operations almost impossible. while i am not in the railroad industry personally to know how they work in prototype i am sure it doesn't take as much as 2 minutes for breaks to come on or off. there are many MANY other little things a veteran player will come across that make you wonder why you just spent so much on something that doesn't behave properly, or behaves so poorly it becomes unplayable, good thing is we have 3rd party developers working with steam that can create consistent DLC.

other than DLC issues this game is great to play and is very relaxing. it is a Great platform to learn the basics of the basics of railroad operation and i would definitely recommend this simulator in the future.
