Gameplay: 9/10
Very good, complex, unique, and challenging, but sometime the puzzles are too confusing and enemy attacks home in on the player too often to be considered fair.

Graphics: 10/10
This is the most beautiful pixel game I've ever played. The environments look amazing, unique, and varied. The animations are super fluid and the character designs are great.

Story: 8.5/10
I love this game's story and characters, I really do, but dear god the pacing is awful. It whips you between playing the game normally and b1g story on a whim. Whats worse is how spaced out these moments are due to the extreme length of dungeons. Most stories use down time like this to develop the supporting cast, while CrossCode does do this, it does not do it even remotely to the extent that it should. We are only around a few of the supporting cast long enough to care about them, even then most of them have next to no stake in the main plot, One of my biggest gripes about the story is the big reveal, when we and the protagonist are first given the big reveal it's one of the best moments in the entire game, but then the main character just delivers the big reveal to the supporting cast and their reaction is far more calm than it should be (for the most part). Considering the tie that the reveal has to the main character it would be way better to have an opposing character do the big reveal to the supporting cast and force the main character to confirm it. Also I dislike how little worldbuilding we get for the world outside the game. Other than that the characters are relatable, and when the story does get good it get REAL GOOD.
