Probably one of my most favourite total war game to date (next medieval 2), however still has quite a few big flaws to the game

#1 Flaw - Siege battles are terrible, I prefer the siege battles of every total war series before, attila did them best I believe. Theres just so much wrong with it that I rather auto resolve even if I know I could win if I played the battle.

#2 Flaw - Removal of unit tactics/skills, I hate that units no longer have unique formations or skills to use. This makes the game very much a rock, paper, scissors type of scenario, whilst still enjoyable leaves you wanting.

#3 Flaw - No family tree, non-aging characters, incapable of staying dead leaders - I understand why they did the majority of this but I still disagree with it in my opinion. Nothing is better than creating an amazing general to become your emperor only to have him killed in battle because of a stupid mistake you made, but thankfully he had a young son you were grooming to become heir. It takes alot from the character development. As a warhammer fan I can understand and they tried to make you care about your characters through quest battles and skill building (which is great) but it is still missing something.

The game does plenty right and changes alot, the addition of magic and quest battles is great! Probably the most beautiful looking of the series as well optimised out the gate. As well the diversity between each faction in terms of roster, buildings, and mechanics is great and adds to the replayability of the game.

I would recommend this game to anyone to try, 8/10
