The game is not only dissatisfactory as a game but functioning as an application as well. I have had this game on multiple platforms and have played for many hours on both. Keep in mind that I have a good pc and every other game I have, to an extent, works perfectly fine. Just recently, the game was experiencing mind-boggling low frames per second. After trying to close it a few minutes later, it began lagging heavily and proceeds to slow my computer down to the degree to which my headphones disconnected for some time. Eventually, since I tried closing the application individually and through steam multiple times, I had to restart my computer. The fact that I had to do this is insane. And this is just one of the many technical unpleasantries that I have experienced with this game on the multiple platforms I have used. And that's a brief description of its technical acts of aggression towards a casual user such as me.
Now I don't want to talk for much longer as the rest of what I say is opinion-based, meaning it doesn't apply to everyone but personally, the game is very cliche in multiple aspects. The story is god-awful with predictable twists and deaths that aren't hard-hitting. The story is incredibly bland with said dumb twists injected to make it feel unique but the whole story is just, "Big company is bad but public thinks it's good. You are an underdog fighting the big company." That is so incredibly boring and cliche.
If I were to come up with something at the top of my head, as I write this, it would be you are a small (and I mean small, like 6 people) group of anti-heroes trying to stop an increasingly growing organization of pirates and thieves from taking over the capital of the world's leading influential country (just because I'm bored) and them taking over this capital could lead to the inevitability of them taking over the world, and if that were to happen, your efforts would be useless. Even while that wasn't super unique and interesting and did just come from the top of my head, it was still way better than their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ excuse for a plot, not to mention how incredibly basic their parkour is. While yes, you need the basics such as wall-running, vaulting, etc., there shouldn't be few cases of rare moves. The best I could think of was the "coil" which is used to get over small obstacles. Everything else was very common and free-running, very repetitive. This isn't mentioning how incredibly one-note the setting is. I found a very similar image of what the setting looked like by just typing in "futuristic city." And for the most part, the color scheme is just white and blue, with a hint of red from the runner's vision. There is a brief period of yellow for some obstacles and 2 minutes of pink for one mission. The only other setting from the city is the underground and the street-level area. I feel as though, the further we get in the future the more color we will incorporate into our city life, rather than less. Therefore, its setting is not only a repetitive series of obstacles but is very cliche-looking.
While I am trying to remain critical, rather than brute and harsh, this game has far more cons than pros. I found more enjoyment in a 2d free mobile game, based on free-running than this. Overall a 3.8/10. It left much to be desired and especially with constant annoyances running down my back, I find this game not to be worth 5 dollars, let alone 20. But, if you have fun with a repetitive, easy-to-learn move list, and are not too worrisome about the story, you may enjoy yourself, and while I didn't enjoy myself, I hope others can.
