Arma 3 is in one word; Amazing.
There are cons to this game however, nothing is perfect, but I think that the list of pros overwhemles them and do make this game great.

I'll start with the cons and pros.
Cons:
-Bad framerates at multiplayer, many players with high powered PC's still experience issues with framerate on large scale servers with many players, though this is only for huge servers.
-Controls are difficult to master and require time and practice since there are much controls that you don't typicaly see in other FPS's
-DLC's and expansions are overpriced, many will argue that this is false so I state that this is my opinion. The DLC's are somewhat not adding enough for the price except for the Marksman's DLC which is a fair deal, and the Apex expansion is very overpriced considering the game is 40$ and the expansion is 35$, You would expect to recieve 80% of content in relation to the game but you only get about 50%. Again, this is my opinion and others will say it's fair.
-Millitary simulation: (This can be a pro to many therefore I shall place it aswell at the pros list) There are many real millitay concepts here, if you're looking for a more casual game, this might not suit you well.

Pros:
-Amazing quality, both in aspects of graphics and features. The game is filled with quality details to the maps and objects and with amounts of content of the base game.
-Replayabilty and scenarios: The campaign is long (in the good way), with a good story, good background and keeps you on the edge of your seat, there are scenarios and showcases that add more things to play and do, along with trainings for new players and veterans looking for improvment of their skills. Many multiplayer modes including the never-the-same Zeus gamemode keep you always entertained at games.
-Mods: The Steam workshop community has so many different addons from new gear and items up to complete campaigns, all easily controlled by the game launcher and have very little chance of causing problems to the original content. Besides the Steam workshop, there are other sources of mods on the internet that have even more content that can be easily installed with the game launcher.
-Editor: The in-game editor lets you create your own missions and publish them on the workshop or save them for yourself to play on your own server. The editor is simple to use, with many tutorials in-game or on the Community guides.
-Helpful community: From guides to friendly teamplayers, the community here is full of people willing to help and work together, I cannot say that is true 100% of the time, there are always some bad eggs yet the admins quickly put them in their place.
-Active developers: BIS is constantly working to fix bugs and bring new content to the game and they do it very quickly too.
-Millitary Simulation: Unlike other titles, this is a less casual one and offers genuine millitary concepts, if you're a millitary enthusiast then this game may suit you well.

Overall:
For the price of 40$ you get a great package of a high quality game with endless content and with high quality players.
It never feels like there's nothing new to do and you can always keep playing more and more. The sandbox features are amazing and keeps all options clear.
I definetly reccomend it.
