Breakthrough Discovered - Surviving Mars!

Surviving Mars is a great game that I can't seem to put down. It is a challenging game that requires a lot of attention at all times. Like most simulation games it works with resource management but the constant combination of natural and special disasters, side missions, random events, death (RIP Colonist #234) keeps you on your toes at all times.

Surviving Mars incorporates a multitude of playable settings to make most games feel somewhat personable and leaves each game feeling more unique. A downside would be the limited amount of maps that seem playable although for most players after 3+ attempts you are probably close to done with the game. The addition of Terraforming was a great expansion that gives your mission an ultimate purpose. By the end of the game your wont be Surviving Mars but Thriving Mars.

I can see how some players may get tired of this game after one play through of the standard game.
However, you can be constantly stimulated with the add-ons, mods and expansion packs. Nevertheless there would even still there would be plenty of hours of game-play that is palatable to the cost of the game.

A must have for any Space Cadet! 8.5/10
