The Good:
Fantastic Alien atmosphere
Great eerie soundtrack
Very pleasing graphics
Enjoyable, simple game-play
No steep learning curve
Very fresh and interesting Alien story line
The depth of game mechanics they included, such as a trauma ward

The Bad:
''DOUBLE TIME!''
The inability to control each individual marine
Random soft bugs (marine becoming stuck on the outer edge of a corridor or a box
Lack of online co-op mode

The Ugly:
The game has crashed twice on me while playing on a very high end rig - only twice, but for unknown reasons. I'm confident its just a minor bug that'll be stomped out rather soon, but be aware that it can happen.

Overall, as a life long lover of Aliens, this is a refreshing step in another direction for the franchise; and one i welcome wholeheartedly as something other than a shooter

Really isn't that bad: people crying about the stutter here ans there because the devs got lazy and didn't compile a shader cache (addressing in a patch) file, so it does it in real time.
The game-play is fun, the theme and setting are masterfully done, and yeah the graphics are fantastic so far.
Honestly, The Callisto Project is, if not interesting, a fantastic horror immersion experience that lovingly mimics the world of Alien, Dead Space, and a little bit of Doom - combined and blended so perfectly well it merits it's own recognition.

b-b-b-but my 30 series gpu and 5900x s-s-s-stutters , wuwuwuwuw, stfu and grow up, the patch is coming.

The Quarry delivers a truly immersive, story rich experience which is incredibly akin to that of 80's horror movies - through my first play-through I couldn't help but love the characters I liked, and enjoyed ''bullying'' the characters i didn't enjoy (denying romantic connections was always fun).
I could easily see this becoming an annual game to play again round the Halloween season. Ted Raimi gives a top tier performance, and Lance Henrikson is a pleasure as always. The suspense is great, the soundtrack is stellar, and I legit had moments I had to pause the game and had to think VERY VERY carefully about what choices I wanted to make.
It was a shock to see The Quarry get so much attention on pre-release and then just fade away, but if you're a fan of 80's horror, or just a good camp fire spook story, then don't hesitate to grab this gem and choose your own path.

Masterpiece.

Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥. This game suffers from many sins and is a pale, lifeless, tedious let down compared to the first Dying Light, which i loved. Its' biggest problem though, is that it's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring. Boring boring boring. The characters are flatter than the chest of a 7 year old girl, the plot makes no sense and your main character (Aiden) is such a ♥♥♥♥♥ you almost feel obligated to have sex with him.
The game is basically a 40 hour long fetch quest, the missions dont feel like missions at all - its literally picking flowers and fetching crap. for. 40. hours.
It got to the point where i was just skipping dialogue just to get to the end of the game faster.
I can see some people really enjoying this long awaited sequel, hell, even i was hyped and preordered - but it just falls flat on everything promised.
No HDR - middle of the road ps4 graphics - flat texture mapping - no tongue in cheek humour - no GUNS (no one in this world apparently can craft guns but they can make windmills, machines, and missles ffs, weak writing).
Over all just a boring disappointment.
wait for sale if you really must.

Before I played this game, my life was filled with many sorrows... I was jobless, my wife left me, and I suffered from having a small penis. I even contemplated suicide. After I played this game, all those things are still there, but this game is really good.

Good all round dragon squad based fun. Id recommend, but by all means do not spend real money in game. work for your ♥♥♥♥. You can just smell the furries getting excited over their fan art for this though.
