This game has been completely abandoned. The Developers "Company" has shut down, their website/forums are down, and none of them will respond to any E-Mails/Social Media inquiries about the game. They have taken the money and left, with no intention of finishing this game.

So...here's some background:

The game had a history of being buggy and unstable, with long-standing and well-known glitches not being fixed. The combat was awkward, the balancing was poor, and there was a LOT of unfinished content. But despite this, since it was "Early Access" and a lot of people liked the concept of the game, we gave the devs a chance.

But before any of this was fixed, the devs started talking about "Full release time" approaching. A lot of us were absolutely puzzled by how they could be looking that far ahead with so many serious, game-breaking bugs still being ignored and only a tiny fraction of the promised content being done. The devs had mentioned that they had somewhere around "10% of the total content" in the game! Were they deciding to ignore everything wrong with the game and push it out unfinished?

In September, that was exactly what happened. The developers decided to slap the game with a fancy "Version 1.0" label on this, despite it not being anywhere close to finished, to get it out of Early Access so it'd be featured on the Steam Store Page and net them some easy holiday-season sales.

They added a bunch of unfinished, even more buggy content for about 3 months after release to ensure that the game kept popping up on the main page as "Just Updated!" during the holiday sales season. Most of these updates were just them unsuccessfully trying to fix things that had been broken since the Alpha Versions or tossing in half-finished buggy content.

In December, they claimed to be "Going on break for the holidays" and weren't heard from again until April. We would later be told by LadyAijou, the Community Manager, that she had departed from their project in January. By all appearances, it seems like no more work was being done on the game at this time, as Bug Reports failed to send properly, E-mails to the devs wouldn't get responses, and there was no interaction on the Forums or Twitter.

Their last post on Steam was in April, coincidentally right before they put their game into the Humble Indie Bundle in May to squeeze any last possible amount of revenue out. The post was a pretty blatant attempt to make potential Bundle buyers who look on the News Page for the game think it was still being actively developed and supported. By then, their Community Manager was no longer working with them, and one of their devs posted a "We'll have information for you soon!" message from his private steam profile. They haven't been heard from since.

To be frank, this is looking like a classic Early Access scam, with the developer drastically overpromising, then running with as much money as possible and leaving the game uncompleted.

Normally, I would just shake my head and move on, but this one really offended me. They had obviously realized very early that they wouldn't be able to finish their game. But instead of telling their customers, they calculated exactly how to milk the most sales out of their unfinished mess. They got their "Full Release" up just before the Holiday Season, and kept putting out very minor patches every week or so not to fix the game, but to ensure that the game would keep popping up in the Steam Store's front page as "Recently Updated" to maximize sales during the holiday season.

No updates after that and only a vague "Please be patient" message from a private steam profile 3 months later, right before a Humble Bundle sale.

This is the kinda crap people need to spread the word about. Stuff like Edge of Space and Towns are scams that people are not only getting away with, but making a lot of money on. Let people know what happened here. Let people looking at this game know to not waste their money and to be very, VERY discerning when looking at future early-access titles.

This game needs a LOT of work. The complexity of shooters is lost ion the game, and i know is 2d, but even for that its lacking. Guns are all spray and pray aside from sniper shots which one shot.

Freeplay is awful, theres a minimum 3 minutes wait to get in a match thats max 5 minutes, if you dont get door killed. When you go through a door, you can just be instakiled with a knife before you load in, and you lose everything you gained in the process. This game will die if they dont deal with these issues.

Early Access Review
it is NOT what one would expect from a "brawler"? Its amazingly clunky, i cant tell if that was by design or not. If your ranged and someone gets in melee range(this is effortless) you cant really do anything but hopefully block about 20 times to kill them. This is because (assuming to land this perfectly EVERY TIME, the counter doesnt let you hit the enemy a full hit before they can counter you right back. Theres no real way to punish. its silly.
Seems that the graphics and aesthetics were far more important than the games core. GL with that.

Early Access Review
This is one of the best shooters ive ever played. The mechanics are sharp, and weapons are well balanced. It runs like a dream, has a customizible hud, and an amazing map generator. The movement has a tight, almost visceral feel. I love this game, support these devs completely, and i expect movement/skillbased shooters step back into the light!

Fantastic game. High skill cap, very well balanced, fun all around. For those who like mmo esque PVP. Or maybe even somewhat more indepth diablo pvp. Great game, better than many out there.

The coop is alright, though kinda glitchy. Npcs can knock down multiple players at once with melee... great idea.

The pvp is very lack luster. generic guns, whoever sees whom first dies. The level i played has a cool dust shroud that game every few minutes.

Warframe is a much better bot game than this.

Update 11/1/2016

The bot matches seem to be no different, very very easy anmd slow.
The pvp.. is well, i dono. i couldnt tell if i was still playing bots. my team destroyed the other team. we had about 250 kills to their 110 or so, and they beat us just by getting near the point a handle full of times, never even staying on it. This game needs a spawn limit, not a timer, the game ends up getting boring and you can lose even if youre doing far better than the other team. Its a slap in the face. Very unrewarding.
