Look.. I know it's in beta and very early in development.
But please try not to make it too much of an among us clone.

the game has some potential.. but if you follow the route you guys did when you attempted to make deceit 1 an among us clone it'll fail.

If you have good Internet then ignore this review. However if you have unreliable / generally horrible Internet then this review is for you.

First of all, this game is amazing. It honestly excelled all expectations, especially since I played the closed beta and already it's way better.

The graphics and atmosphere is phenomenal, the attention to detail with everything around the maps is amazing.
ontop of that the music is just perfect to add the creepyness and well needed to make your spine tingle.

There is nudity.. will say considering it's an outlast game it's expected, however it would be nice to have the ability to censor the ♥♥♥♥ n balls, especially during the part where one is shoved in your face when you're loading into Program 3.

The co-op function to add more ways to play thru the map is quite nice, especially when you're partnered up with friends just as skilled at the game to know what you're doing..

however the bad stuff.
If you have spotty internet, especially where it comes in and out regularly. even when playing single player this game will just freeze. I've had rubber banding, parts where I can't pick up items or move from where I am, enemies teleporting and much more pretty much due to my internet. And I know when I'm playing co-op this is to be expect and can't be fixed. But when I'm playing on my own.. Solo.. noone else except myself as Host and the only player playing, I think it shouldn't require a wifi connection 24/7.
I've had many moments where I play thru the game, able to get that A plus rank only to have my wifi starting to give out, myself telepoting back to where I was, the enemy chasing me attacking me while I can't move from this spot while they teleport to me. Or having myself suddenly being Gassed by something that I've tried opening multiple times as it keeps closing, freezing in place due to trying to pick up and item or generally just getting mad because of it all. knowing the attempt at getting that high rank on the higher difficulties is impossible now just because of something that shouldn't be happening when playing solo.


Once this issue is fixed or at least mentioned and explained why it can't be fixed. This review will stay negative.
Other then the internet issues, this review is going to be overwhelmingly positive. sadly though this main issue makes it impossible to play sometimes.

From going at a constant slow speed on my train I found the game a delight to play. The graphics and style is Gorgeous although a bit bright with the sun (brightness is at 33) and is just amazing to look at the base you've built while listening to the soundtrack.


Before reading other then the TL;DR do know that my save file was recorded at 16H and 45MIN

With Voidtrain the game is beautiful with it's graphics, nothing seems out of place with it's style and the atmosphere is just gorgeous, especially with the skybox/ sky around you, even when looking at the sun does feel like looking directly into a bright light.

The story i've seen so far is really captivating, the narrator has such a wonderful voice and I actually combat with myself with speeding up the train just to go thru more of the story (but often stop myself cuz I'm a massive loot ♥♥♥♥♥)

The base building aspect is a wonderful challenge to fit everything, although a bit difficult if you want everything to be on the exact X or Z cords (like myself) but not a challenge when you use long object to help sort that out if you do care about it.

The combat AI is a bit.. basic?
The alien enemies often just go towards you while the alien boss just stays in the middle (I got to round 3)
while the human AIs just shoots at you while changing cover every so often while knowing where you are thru walls, shooting at you thru them alot of the time (not shooting THRU but looking at you thru while shooting)

I will say though with the aliens. I was a bit upset that they're cept behind the arena section when it looked like in the trailer you could battle them on the islands with them invading your train. (I could be wrong, but i've not encountered them naturally yet)

BUGS
I will say personally I've not encountered many bugs, and the bugs that I have encountered was movement where I'm flung around or one time where the entire train was teleported back with myself still being where I was, making me fly back to the train for a few seconds (tho I did like this since I got a coal node I missed :3)

If I had to give a rating out of 10 i've honestly say a solid 7 or 8, more if the combat is improved and a few of the bugs fixed
deff a game I will recommend to my friends when I finally have some

This is a review by someone that hasn't played vermintide (seen alot of ppl referring that in their reviews)
Games pretty fun and interesting.
Love the somewhat varied play styles you can do already as well as the different missions types. even changing who talks to you from home base during the missions is a nice touch..

honestly the only down side of this game I gotta say is the performance issues (I got a decent computer but I still need to play on lower graphics)
as well as some visual bugs (however the big one got fixed in the last update I'm pretty sure

If you're gay/ not into the lewd
this game is just bloody hilarious more then anything

Howdy, changing my downvote to and upvote due to the change from amongus clone to it's own thing once more, and infact I believe it's better then it originally was before hand
however there are new problems, people abusing glitches to get out of the map to force a win on their part when playing human or teamers still teaming, however letting the infected chose their teammate does lessen it quite a bit i've noticed which is really good!!!!

OLD REVIEW
The game was fun for a while, it did have it's problems with teamers on discord n such.. but the new version, trying to make it like among us make it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fail

now teamers are able to win the game even more then before and it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ travesty they believed this was the right option. please for the love of god revert it back to what it was instead of keeping it like THIS

at the current state of the launch.
The game is buggy when you play keyboard and mouse mode forcing you to controller, or in my case and many others I imagine to play point and click.

The story is good..ish don't get me wrong, but with the glaring fact that i'm forced to point and click my way thru the game made it harder to play and rather annoying at times.


I would also like to add that while yes I do encourage the game, for people who only will play a single playthru of the story instead of seeing every choice, death or ending then I highly suggest not buying this game

for me it was $50 (AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS) and honestly if I knew I wasn't really able to play thru the game multiple times without getting bored from doing it already I most likely wouldn't have bought the game.
i would have rather watched a youtube video.

BUT if you are like others that will see every ending and such, do get the game.

ps with the story beats n stuff, I can't tell if it's ♥♥♥♥ or not, this is the first game i've played from this company so i can't really compare them to the other two

If you've bought the game on pre order like myself for the extra scenes or playing the alternative movie (from other characters perspective, like tanya/ taylor in the start house instead of andrew) doubling your hours and seeing different outcomes without the whole fatiege of playing the same game over again

you can't skip cutscenes, so if you wanted tanya/taylor to die by hanging or smoke/ fire. you have to wait thru the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cowboy walk of paintings in full so

So far from playing, i gotta say this game is kinda fun..
that is, if you don't have killers who tunnel and coffin camp :/

By coffin camp, I mean hunters camp the surrounding area of the coffins to easily get kills.. "but what about the invis you get from saving", well you can't save if the hunter camps can we?
"what about the invis item that makes it easier to save".. it's not full invis, and a hunter with normal eye site can easily see and bash you to death :/

which reminds me, why is it two deaths and then you're an insta kill? seems pretty unfair, especially if the hunter tunnels you to make you an easy insta before moving onto the next player (or just keeping you camped)

also where did the battle royal mode go?
