If Witch Queen is supposed to be better than Taken King, then Taken King must have been absolute garbage.

They took the seasonal power soft cap into the extreme by gating story content behind it at a rate that requires weeks of grinding, they have continued the "Blink and you'll miss it" writing scheme, they got rid of Forsaken's content (and gave us a pittance for anyone who played it) only to re-use the Scorn because it was easier, and gave us an equivalent story amount that Shadowkeep had with marginally the same plot development. The only good thing they've done is adding more trash mobs to use on-kill abilities on during bossfights. They even took previously acceptable gear, things people already had to grind for, and sunset them for no reason...I'm very glad I didn't go Deluxe.
This is the THIRD TIME we've gotten a "Darkness is coming and you should be worried." DLC. That's what this was. Shadowkeep was a tease, Beyond Light was supposed to establish the Black Fleet as a threat, and now...

"Oh no, there's ANOTHER bad guy behind the Pyramids!"

They're just milking a cash cow and calling it 40 bucks.

Early Access Review
One thing this game does really well for VR is a brilliant atmosphere combined with a great sense of immersion. Often I would be moving around the radius without thinking about anything but the game itself, losing myself completely in the world as I checked my wrist for my status rather than pressing any button for it. The backpack added to the fun, as the inventory management was surprisingly intuitive and rewarded an organized pack-rat style. As a survival game as well, the food/sleep management isn't a chore like other survival games.

One thing that stood out to me was how fun resource management is and preparing for incursions into the radius. One of my favorite things to do after coming back to the base is taking my time offloading my backpack's supplies and extra ammo I collected out in the radius, reloading my magazines and consolidating rounds into ammo boxes one by one, grabbing each one at a time. (For ease of use, I did like that you can hold ammo boxes up against magazines instead to reload them, but if it's calm enough I like to manually load for maximum immersion)

A small gripe is that I wish the pistols allowed for two-handed grip, though my experience is only with the PM and T-33

Definitely give this game a try, you won't be disappointed if you want a Metro 2033 level of atmosphere combined with the Anomalies and survival of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl in VR.

The arcadey feel of this game and its gameplay is very rewarding and fun, allowing for a multitasking of weapons use and the stomping of enemies below at your feet. I would say the story ending is rather lackluster, but the overall arc doesn't feel like a definitive black and white scenario.
