This game is excellent. The story is just what it needed to be for a return to the Space Marine games.

The 40k lore is excellently presented and the gameplay captures the vibe of 40k as well. One of the best 40k games made, it's up there with Dawn of War.

Played this game for years. Bought all the DLCs and absolutely loved playing with my partner. Cannot advise this game in the light of how the "All you can Eat" edition has been done. Support for Overcooked 2 is completely dead as far as company communication goes.

Avoid like the plague.

Game is fine, good art and soundtrack - Very pretty

Gameplay is fine, nothing particularly unique - This is basically a twin stick shooter with wizards. Decent variety of enemies, though when certain immunity auras stack up it can really slows down the pace of the game when only 1 or 2 spells can damage anything and you need to wait for them to recharge.

What let's it down are some of the design choices that have been made. There isn't a level select so you can't go back and play any specific missions without playing every mission before it - I don't consider finding an online session near where you want to be and jumping into it a reasonable solution to not implementing a feature like this. This really impacts replay enjoyment of the game, I've played through it twice and after the second time I was so bored I couldn't even be bothered to defeat the final boss.

The spell system is well designed, very functional; it's just a shame you only have maximum spells right at the end of the game so you don't really get to use them for long. Also some spells are just worse than others so if you end up with many of those your characters aren't going to be very useful in single run. More user choice in spell selection would be ideal for me. I can understand why the devs chose to make it more random, but it's just not for me.

The character levelling system is good, it gives plenty of play style customisation. Hats are all right, but we've all done hats before and they add nothing in terms of gameplay. The staffs are cute, each family giving a similar perk and a distinct one for each flavour, though some are clearly superior to others.

Got this game in a sale at -75% and I wouldn't recommend picking it up for anymore than that.

Brilliantly simple and fun game. Great for a single run or long play session, very enjoyable. The music for the game is also a stellar piece of composition from Ben Prunty and really adds the feel of the game.
Fiendishly fun. Must buy!
