The last of its "dying kind", FFIX provides everything that was great about the PS1 generation and the classic JRPG formula that Square mastered before moving on to PS2 and onwards.

The soundtrack is without equal, the story and characters are timeless, and the combat is so pure and enjoyable.

FFIX was my favorite game as a kid, and is still my favorite game now. No complicated battle systems trying to be "innovative", just good 'ol fashioned kill monsters, level up, and become the master.

I honestly wish I could better describe why I love this game so much, but it's just too much to write about, from the mini games, the lovable characters, the rewarding feeling you get from progressing through the game, and the perfect pacing of the story and gameplay.
