The same ♥♥♥♥ game with less licensing and more bugs. Please, somebody make a soccer game that doesn't feel like going to the dentist.

Medieval Dynasty isn't a bad game, but unfortunately the content just isn't there. The core gameplay loop is reliant on a heavy grind, and in combination with a low difficulty this makes the game feel tedious. The kicker is that the tedium never really pays off since there's a distinct lack of late game content or interesting storylines. It is probably worth getting on a deep sale, but I would otherwise pass on this title.

Early Access Review
A great, underutilized concept. The combat is engaging, although it could benefit from some tweaks to stamina and damage output to encourage more lethal and high stakes contests. The meta is where this game feels the most like early access, as it is currently a bit lightweight. All in all, I've enjoyed the game so far and anticipate that it can become a much better game as development continues.

3D Graphics straight out of 2011, a few mediocre events, and a shallow crafting system. All for $30...

I can't recommend. This game is very barebones compared to its predecessor. New features and content are typically gated behind DLC with an unjustifiably high price-point for the content being offered. The typical game play loop is "Start as weak character > quickly snowball because the AI is easy to beat > realize there's nothing else to do because there's very little depth"

Get Crusader Kings II instead.

GoTY contender. This game goes hard. Performance is really rough, but it's not nearly enough to deter me because everything else is executed perfectly. I'm a fan of the Dark Souls trilogy, and this has everything I would hope for, and more.

Early Access Review
Mad Games Tycoon 2 isn't exactly a bad game. I had plenty of fun in my 40-some hours that I logged. There's plenty of positives, however I can't help bu feel that they are overshadowed by its limitations. The Office building system is very rigid and based on pre-built structures, The UI is filled with bad workflow and inefficent menu navigation. Mid/Late game has almost no content, and the game quickly begins to feel a lot like an Idle game. The Tycoon market has evolved a good deal since Mad Games Tycoon initially released, and unfortunately Mad Games Tycoon 2 just doesn't even come close to being the best of its type. If you're looking for a game to scratch the Game Dev itch, I have to recommend Software Inc as the better alternative.

Early Access Review
This game has decent bones, but ultimately it is very unfinished. Early Access is a shield being used to hide a highly troubled development process that took over 8 years to generate a barebones experience. The singleplayer is frought with extremely obvious glitches, effectively demonstrating just how topheavy this release has been. The multiplayer doesn't even exist. There are 3 gamemodes, none of which can even be played unless you have an hour to wait in a queue. Battle is missing, Duel is missing, Deathmatch is missing. All of the available custom servers are either TDM or based out of Oceania-- and TDM is broken, with spawns kind of just throwing players around the map chaotically. Multiplayer has completely regressed from what we had in Warband, and is a clear blackmark against this sequel.

I have logged thousands of hours between Warband and the original M&B, however I cannot recommend Bannerlord. Taleworlds has dropped the ball, and there is at least a year of development before I can even imagine this game as a worth successor.
