Was playing a non-hardcore colony. Got an event that spawned 30 or so terriers all maddened and ready for blood. They swept through the colony, leaving one survivor. I was tempted to reload the game.. But I pressed on, cleaned up the colony, recruited a few new guys, and we thrived.

An in game year later the colony got overrun by mechanoids and everyone died.

10/10 great game.
