The game has a few rough edges but man does it scratch my itch for an old school RPG. The game has a lot of passion and it's very replayable! It has the charm of text-based adventures and while it might lack a bit of polish, it makes up in heart. The tabletop essence is kept and enhanced. A very nice surprise!

This game is an absolute blast! "Muchacho Bean" does an awesome job mixing the endless runner and rogue-lite genres. The challenge mode is seriously tough but super fun, and it connects perfectly with the endless mode. Plus, beating challenges unlocks new stuff weapons and upgrades for your endless runs, which keeps things exciting.

The music, art, and animations are all spot-on. Honestly, it's just a really solid game and I'll be playing a lot more of it.

Terminei o jogo a alguns minutos e não me recuperei emocionalmente do que vivenciei. A experiência de se jogar "The Beginner's Guide" está 100% ligada ao psicológico, o jogo em sí é simples, mas tudo por trás daquilo, a narrativa por cima, cria um clima de tensão, solidão, desespero tão grande que é difícil por em palavras... Talvez depois de ter jogado, minha perpectiva sobre muita coisa tenha mudado, posso dizer inclusive, que me trouxe de alguma maneira, certa paz pra mim. Obrigado Davey e também "Coda" pela experência de "The Beginner's Guide", lembrem-se... Não estão sozinhos.
