Better then I expected, and definitely worth it if you get a decent price. Space Skyrim is fairly enjoyable.

I didn't realize I've never left a review. I always laugh when I see people with thousands of hours in a game give it a negative vote, thinking something along the lines of. "If you didn't like it, when did you play it for 1,700 hours?"

Well, At the time of this review I've played elite for 2,253 hours, and I'm still playing it. I think that's all that really needs to be said about the game. I don't know if you'll enjoy it the same way I have over the years, I'm not sure anyone on earth can tell you that.

First:

This game isn't Mechwarrior 5, It's Mech Assault 3, and I'm here for it. I love Mechwarrior and the sim side, but we've actually gotten plenty of that with Mercs, this is fun and refreshing.

Second:

Performance right now isn't great, but devs are pushing hotfixes very quickly, maybe consider picking it up in a week or so if your machine isn't a baller.

Third:

♥♥♥♥ yeah a clan story for the first time in this millennium, and damn is it good so far.

This game was absolutely excellent. Modern magic settings are awesome, and this game took that idea to it's fullest to be something really unique, feels like a D&D campaign I've been wanting to write for years.

The characters and story are very well written, the gameplay is fun (so long as you enjoy turn base tactics) and there's a lot more to do after you beat the game. The art style is incredible, some kind of minimalist comic book look I have a hard time describing, but really enjoyed.

A main story run-through with minimum side content took me about 14 hours, I suspect there's about 20-25 hours worth of content in the game not counting player created maps.

For a 20$ game, this felt well worth it. Overall I'd give it 10/10.

Early Access Review
A little janky, but if you like extraction games and D&D, you're gonna have a lot of fun.

New weapons and mechs are really fun. Duncan's Story is pretty enjoyable, however the last few missions are structurally a bit of a mess. The whole DLC Story is about 4-6 hours of game-play. With some AI tuning I think they would be pretty fun. I've yet to really try the randomly generated arena matches, and will do that soon.

Some feels:
-I think the main story of this is the shortest of the DLCs that have stories, for what I assume will be the last DLC of MW5: Mercs, I would have liked it to be a longer one.
-Try out PPC-X's they're VERY fun.
-This DLC wouldn't be good for co-op as many of the missions require you to play solo.
-Adding Solaris 7 back in does really add one of the last things I felt MW5 was missing.
-Having Duncan back was mad cool.

Overall would give this a 6.5/10 and say if you don't have the other story DLCs to get them first, unless you want to slam some arenas real bad.

Pretty awesome so far, I really enjoy how fast it is. I love 4x, but sometimes it's hard to find time to sit down and play them. This helps a lot. There's an upcoming save feature which will help even more.

A few notes:
-The Deckbuilding aspect runs great, and burning cards feels like a meaningful choice.
-The 4x elements are simplified a bit, making them likely a lot easier for people new to 4x. This game would be great for getting friends who are into deck builders into 4x, and visa versa.

Like to Sees:
-A very hard AI would be awesome to get.
-I think Units should be able to attack after they move, maybe if they per say use less then half of their total movement distance. It feels weird to just walk up to someone and wait. Also makes running away super easy.

Anyways, thanks for your time, and thanks for the game.

Early Access Review
The late game is a little rough around the edges in terms of bugs, (Especially some AI bugs) but that is to be expected with an Early Access title. Pavonis patches a lot, and is constantly fixing things. As for the game? It's huge, a whole new take on grand strategy. Personally I loved it.

I couldn't possibly give this game a higher recommendation. I've been on the hype train for this game since 2017, and I went into this thinking. "This is going to be one of the best RPGs I've ever played." Somehow with that hanging over it's head, the game still wildly exceeded my expectations. If you love RPGs you owe it to yourself to play this game.

After finishing my first play-through tonight, I plan to immediately start another... Something I've literally never done before with a primarily single player game.
