As my first Colony Builder type game I really enjoy it. The game is in early access and as such there are some bugs, but so far I have not had anything gamebreaking. I've seen in other reviews that this game is very bland and boring but I did not find this true. I loved figuring out what structures would work best for different intended purposes. For instance specializing a building to be a kitchen and storage building. Another building with workshops in it (bow-maker, sewing, etc.) And of course the exterior wall that has been slowly upgrading as I've progressed. with towers in each corner overwatching an airlock style gate. (basically there are two layers of doors the enemy have to go through, giving my archers plenty of time to take them out.) If you enjoy the Medieval Era, and you're new to this type of game then Going Medieval is for you!

Squad offers a unique experience from other shooters I've played. You take the role of a regular soldier and start each match at a designated home base. This game is heavily focused on teamwork, and requires squad leaders and their elected commander to work together to build spawn points (FOBS) and allocate assets like Logistics trucks, Helicopter logistics, and Armored Vehicles. This game is a lot of fun and I would say it fits nicely in between Rising Storm and ARMA in terms of gameplay speed and realism. For instance, you won't spawn right in the thick of combat (unless you spawn on a hot rally or FOB) but you also don't have just one spawn point like in most ARMA ops. Squad has a lot to offer people that enjoy using teamwork to accomplish an objective. There are new player friendly servers and a robust tutorial system for new players. I recommend Squad to anyone that likes military simulators, First person tactical shooters, and a fortification and logistics system.
