I came in to this game expecting to just piddle with it for a bit and leave with some laughs, since that's what I felt I'd get after seeing a video of it and hearing a few friends chatting and playing. Boy, I was wrong. I sunk seven hours into my first session and only stopped, because of the necessity of food and sleep for work.
That said, you need to experience this game of boats. As of writing this, I now have 62 talent points and cruising the waters in my Corvette and am aligned with the Syndicate faction, after initially starting with the Sojourn faction. The game stays both challenging and fun as you progress, thanks to the unique ability to enter heroic instances and acquiring help from friends or other players near your level, if you so desire. Destroy the enemy pirate ships and earn some great loot to keep on boating or even trading it away for others to make use of or sell. You can even try to take over the different regions from another faction, opening up some fun with others online. Defensive boats, offensive boats, support boats, fast boats, slow boats... This game can give you more than a few hours of fun, including PvP or what can be known as being a major butt-head with your friends from time to time ha-ha. I'd have to say my favorite thing about the game is that it keeps me constantly wanting to try for that better loot as I gain more and more TP. Don't pass on this game just by a little preview of it. Get immersed and give it an actual try!

Played the original for several hours on PC and probably more than that from my time on the Xbox 360 before it.

If you want to play everything you didn't get to in the original or are an old player that found yourself annoyed at players having hacked gear in random lobbies, then this will probably be for you. Sure there has been changes to how the game used to play, but it's more or less the same experience.
For anyone new to the game, there's endless fun to be had with all the classes now available immediately and that a good majority of people playing have had time in the original, so you're likely to find veteran help while playing through the game too. If you've got a few friends who might want to play as well, that'll make progressing even better, especially if you intend to go for the higher difficulties and want to gear yourselves out.

Also to keep in mind is that as you're playing this again or are just jumping into it, this will get you prepped for Dungeon Defenders 2. Certain things you complete here will supposedly be put toward that game as well, if you liked DD/DDE enough to warrant a purchase of that.

It's like Nintendo's Mario Party without the mini-games, but featuring online four-player fun. Be devious in your playing to attain 200 "Stars" or 14 "Wins" and encite the rage within three of your friends or online opponents using the character and card tactics at your disposal. I 100% recommend this game if you want some online boardgame fun with friends or family while enjoying a good laugh or two at their expense. Don't delay, get yourself some of this gloriously fun-filled Orange Juice today!

LOTS of guns to farm up, plenty of characters & level ups to play through as well as difficulties, awesome DLC and great character portrayels throughout the story, among other things, makes this game just as good if not better than the first Borderlands. PLAY-THIS-GAME.

Similar to Diablo III, but so much better.
