But it's a solid game.... now. It's unfortunate the way they marketed the game, it's unfortunate the media reception it got. But Turtle Rock Studios came back and made it a fun game, before unfortunately abandoning the game.
This game could have been so much better. It's a genuinely very fun game to play currently, and it could have been great. Workshop, new official cards, new modifier cards, new characters and etc could genuinely make this game amazing. But, it is officially "complete", and it will now remain a "good game that could have been greater."
It goes on sale all the time for a couple dollars, and it is more than worth it. Do not buy it for full price.

An amazing game that reimagines the horror the first game perfected. It's not quite as "perfect" as the first, a lot of the game doesn't quite make sense, and that's alright.

You don't have to understand everything that's going on, I can't really explain it much more without spoiling the game, but I see many comments not finishing the game because they don't get what's going on, and I feel the need to reiterate that you don't have to. You shouldn't let that take away the feeling this game gives you in the moment when you're scared, confused, and have no idea what's going on.

A beautiful, jumpscary, and gore filled game that everyone should at least attempt once.

A beautiful game that has you stuck in a crossroad of many lives, some refusing to change so they can keep normalcy in their lives, others being forced to change. You can help them move on, or you can keep people comfortable in their normalcy. My only complaint is I wish I could have stuck around a little bit longer, when the game ended I was shocked the first time. I would love to see more like this.

After 12 years, we finally got a new Silent Hill game, and it does not disappoint. I'm finally home.

Graphical glitches that are so bad it makes the game unplayable, spent 1.5 hours trying to fix it with every known fix and nothing worked. You name it, I tried it, I got it very close to being playable but it would spaz out at random making the hud and most things scratchy/blurry. Made sure to quit trying to make a dumb game work while I could still refund.
