It's still just about the same as Smite 1, runs a bit worse in general even when changing graphics settings and making Smite 1 and 2 look comparable. There's some changes that are actually nice QOL, like having a text effect when you are affected by certain CC so you actually know what's going on, some of the god aspects are actually pretty interesting, and some of the new items are neat, especially with how they implemented active items, (Once again they have made the shop UI even worse). The general vibe I have is that there is less of everything.

I don't think updating to Smite 2 is worth gutting over half the god roster and resetting all your owned cosmetics (which can't be ported to Smite 2 due to laziness and incompetence "engine limitations"). It's not horribly offensive, it's just a lackluster experience for what they've been hyping up, and considering Smite 1 has not had content updates in about a year... yeah I'm not impressed. Playing from Season 1 in Smite 1, I've grown to have a good repertoire of gods I liked to play, but now I'm severely limited in my options.

HiRez has a habit of cashing in on player loyalty and then killing their games, and since they seem to continuously fumble the ball Smite will probably be next on the chopping block considering how they've been bleeding their playerbase.

As always, praying for HiRez's downfall and hoping they will finally shutter the company 🙏.
