Early Access Review
From the team that brought you "Never Touched a Gun in their Life" and "Limp Wristed ♥♥♥♥♥ Can't Control 5.56" come play Due Process. The game where bullets don't matter. 6 shots of .45 to kill someone? Of course! Thats how we won WW2, by spamming mag after mag to down 1 German. What an absolute piece of ♥♥♥♥ game. Got it on discount for .79 cents and STILL overpaid. ♥♥♥♥ these ♥♥♥♥♥♥ devs. Go back to making roblox games

The game is so frustratingly bad that I felt the need to write my first review ever. I love space, I love space related games, and I love this kind of space cowboy aesthetic. That being said, this is one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had with a game. If you're looking for that space faring future vibe, get it elsewhere.

The spaceships are some of the ugliest machines I've seen in sci-fi. They have the single worst control scheme for flight that's ever been devised. The physics handling of the ships is maddening at best. For some unexplained reason, your starter ship is limited to 143m/s in space but you can boost for extra speed that tapers off over time because apparently in this universe inertia doesn't exist. You have the inability to circumnavigate a planet without warping away from it just to warp back to get to the other side in any real sort of timescale. The way you go about plotting your course is barely explained and alot of nuance is lost in the simplistic "pick a destination and supercruise" explanation they give. That process doesn't work if the destination is behind the planet you're on and it will take you real world hours to fly around it. I have 3 hours in the game and all I have been able to do is the tutorial flight and then taking 25mins to fly to a planet for the first mission just to die by being swarmed with enemies that all take 3 mags to down 1 person. Oh, and the characters are all the most grotesque, unsightly, netflix adaptations in gaming.

Overall it feels like the game had so many little parts that could've made a great game but were squandered. There's so many individual things about it that I had wanted from a game like this but then there will be other things about it that ruin what it had going. I guess that's pretty common for the British though, always having the ingredients for greatness but never the recipe. I just regret that I got this digital copy instead of a physical one. Would've made chucking it in the harbor a lot easier.
