Thought I would chime in with a realistic, perhaps non-emotionally-charged review. A lot of the reviews here tend to be hysterical and exaggerate.

This game is brilliantly brilliantly made. I think, visually, thematically and horrifically, it's what we're all craving Dead by Daylight was. We want a genre of game that is gritty, intense, skulking and scary, and the motion capture movements and animations alone make this immersive and impressive. Not to mention, the game is fluid and visually stunning and really satisfying to play.

There is a really big downside though... the family. Understandably, no one wants to play them. I myself am a family main, but I still feel the imbalance of the game. If you want to play victim, you will have to wait 5-10 minutes to get a game, but as a family player, queue-times are instant.

This should show you immediately how imbalanced the game is.

My first gripe is that the game doesn't seem to disincentivize rushed play, which sucks so badly because the FUNNEST matches are tense, sneaky and have you shaking. But if you watch any of the victim streamers, you come to realize that skilled victims don't give a damn about killers. They can do whatever they like, they don't need to sneak around, and they can just power through the game, building perks to bully and beat up the family. And a lot of games are over as soon as they begin, with victims brazenly breaking out their restraints, immediately slamming through the doors, ignoring the killers and rushing for the exits as soon as the game starts.

Secondly, another huge flaw with the game is that, as a victim, there is little incentive to play as a team. I mean, I don't really see the point. There isn't much to do to help each other. You can technically heal each other, but you can't see each others health, and there's no benefit to doing so since they can just heal themselves. And you can't really engage with the killers if they're brawling with a survivor, so there isn't much point in working together. Almost always, you just split up and have a single player experience.

Even as the family, it's actually bad to stick together. Even in the loading screens, it advises you to stay apart from each other.

I absolutely love this game, so it makes me sad that there are these huge flaws are present.

In my opinion, strongly disincentivize rushed play by adding a penalty to rushed, loud actions, perhaps by leveling up grandpa or something, make the door locks even more robust so that it takes longer for them them to be broken by the victims, and add mechanics to the game that encourage a true multiplayer experience through teamwork. Allow victims to help each other and interact with each other.

Irrespective of these major flaws, the game is still fantastic, but you will experience many unfun matches (most likely as a killer), but you will still get to experience some brilliant and funny games.

This game is amazingly made and has such potential. I adore the glossy visuals and how dynamic and varied it is. A lot of really well-made characters to choose from and lots of interactive things on the map. I really hope this game blows up.

I freaking love this game. It's so much fun to play with loved ones. It's hilarious to have to lie to each other.

Please play. <3

Early Access Review
LOVE this game and have been playing it non-stop. It's very addictive.

But holy F*******K is it extremely straining for a PC. I have an expensive gaming PC (that I'll admit it a few years old, but it cost me 1.5k) and I can just about manage it on low-medium settings.

The WORST WORST problem I have with this game is that it freezes and it freezes quite often. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've died because I'm unable to do anything due to my game being frozen. People keep telling me "Turn your graphics down!", I have them down and my FPS is a stable 60-80, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm freaking freezing and lagging!

So although the game is hideously optimized and I have to settle with graphics that look like I'm playing an 80s arcade game, it's still wonderful and fun and addictive and... crap, even though I was going to go to bed, I'm going to have one more game once I'm done writing this review.

Done, bye.
