Generation Zero is a simple game.
It's the late 80s and you're shooting robots in Sweden.

Shooting robots is great fun and the story is okay I guess.
You're playing this game to shoot robots and be antisocial.

Unless you have friends. If you have friends It's guaranteed to be great fun.

I personally enjoy it alot but most people would probably give it a 6-7/10.
Not for everyone. (unless you really like shooting robots)

I Am far from a JRPG player.
Before I played this game I thought I'd never enjoy a JRPG. Their stories never really grabbed me and flicking menus seemed trivial.

The game's charm was immediate, dialogue was flexible and believable, the soundtrack is pivotal in the game and that doesn't even touch the story.

This game's story is simple. I Will not say a single thing about it, but I have to compliment the delivery and buildup to every point in the story. It's one to play blind.

If there is one thing I should say is that as many have said, some portions linger for too long but this is quite literally my only complaint about the game.

If there is one more thing to add, the warnings at the beginning of the game ARE to be adhered. It does not hold back but it tackles every subject with care and maturity without being gratuitous.

Play this game. Support the creator. Don't spoil yourself. Don't spoil others.

(I'm being vague in this review on purpose, THIS GAME IS TO BE PLAYED COMPLETELY BLIND. PLEASE PLAY IT.)

This game is absolutely Fantastic.
Prey has System Shock inspiration in every mechanic the game has. It Encourages multiple different styles of play and every time there is an objective there is always at least 1 other way to complete or get to it.
This freedom coupled with the attention to detail the entire game consistently shows is absolutely astounding. One of my favorite puzzles is having to solve the safe code for the Director's Office in the Hardware Labs.

Bear in mind, the game is absolutely crammed full of content. This game is one to be enjoyed in multiple playthroughs and just 1 won't do either it or you justice. Open your mind to different playstyles and mechanics if you play this game and remember to keep a keen eye on every monitor, screen, or even dry erase board.

I'm intentionally leaving any spoilers out of this review in case the reader has not heard of Prey due to it's rather botched marketing decisions and the Name being chosen to keep Bethesda's trademark for the name longer. Arkane's crafted a Masterpiece here.

Magnificent.

I actually find it pretty difficult to find people who don't have this game.

$10 for almost everything you can think of is a pretty good deal.
It's even on source engine to boot!
