More addicting than crack. Cheaper too.

Fun for what it is, but absolutely NOT worth $25. You can finish the "story" in about two hours give or take, and there's very little variation throughout that runtime. Some people seem to like the story, but I thought it was super cliche and predictable. For a game this short, I still managed to get bored before it ended.

Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom is an excellent and charming platformer with solid collectathon gameplay. The locations are varied and a big part of the fun is discovering new areas. Combat is basic but functional, there's not really much to say about it. I've probably played over 100 hours of the original BfBB, including 100%-ing the game.
One thing to note is that Rehydrated is a remake, NOT a remaster. The entire game has been recreated in Unreal engine, and as a result the movement and controls do not feel the same as the original. This probably won't be a problem if this is your first time playing the game, but as somebody who played the original many times it was definitely noticeable. Also, this version is buggier than the original. Even in my first could hours on Rehydrated I noticed some hitbox jank that definitely did not exist in classic. Still, I'd say it's worth playing for anybody who likes 3D platformers.

An excellent, no-nonsense arcade game. Dead simple twinstick shooter gameplay filled with colorful explosions of neon particles. Despite only having one level/gamemode, I've probably put 100 hours into this charming little game when combining my time on Steam with the many nights I'd spend playing this back on the Xbox 360.
If this game had existed back in the 80s it would have eaten every quarter I had at the local arcade.

Fun, solid fighting game with refreshing and unique character designs. Features a story mode with light RPG elements. The multiplayer lobby system is awesome, more games should do something like this.

Absolutely fantastic remake of one of the best PC games of all time. Simultaneously faithful to the original's design and themes, while also updating the presentation where necessary for modern standards. Runs very well on my machine which is a few years old at this point, I usually had 60-100 FPS throughout the campaign on High settings. Only a few spots had noticeably frame drops, mainly in rooms with lots of monsters, but these moments of lag never stuck around too long.
Xen is incredibly beautiful, lots of interesting new ideas which really made the experience feel fresh and rewarding.

Overall, just a great experience at a bargain price. Well worth grabbing for anybody who enjoys classic FPS action.

My time so far with the game has been thoroughly enjoyable. I really like the survival mechanics, and the combat feels skillful and rewarding. I was also really impressed with the presentation. Both the graphics and atmosphere are excellent, and really pull me in!
It feels like the sort of old school RPGs I used to see back in the late 90s, but with a modern UI design.

Simple to learn, but with a ton of replayability and depth. Each of the unlockable ships changes up your playstyle by having their own strengths, weaknesses, and layouts.
Definitely worth the very reasonable price.

Early-Access-Rezension
Deeprock Galactic's premise is simple: you are a Dwarf in space, working for an interplanetary mining company that absolutely does NOT comply with OSHA health and safety standards. Your job is to fight your way through the caverns deep below the planet Hoxxes, mining minerals and other valuable items and getting it all back to orbit in a drill/rocket at the end of the round. The game has four classes to choose from (at the time of my review): Gunner, Engineer, Driller, and Scout. Each one has unique weapons/utilities that compliment the team by filling in different roles. Completing missions earns you XP which levels up your dwarves, gold to buy upgrades/beer/cosmetics, and more exotic materials for higher tier upgrades.
Between missions you hang out in DRG's orbital station, which is where you can upgrade equipment, choose your cosmetics, pick missions, and get drunk at the bar. The spacerig also serves as your multiplayer lobby when playing with friends and fellow dwarves.
Here's some details on what the game is like, in brief:
  • All gamemodes are co-op with up to 3 other players (for a total of 4), no pvp. Solo players get a robot buddy that helps with fighting, mining, and exploring. If you die during a mission, your fellow dwarves can revive you.
  • Art style is low-poly, terrain is fully destructible voxels, mining is surprisingly fun. Each class has a mobility tool to help them get around (ziplines, platform gun, giant drill, and grapple hook).
  • Missions last between 10-45 minutes depending on the size and skill of your team, plus the length rating of the mission.
  • The caves are procedurally generated, each biome has unique cavern features and resources. There's quite a lot of variety here, this is some of the best cave gen I've seen in any mining game yet. Kicks the crud out of Minecraft.
  • Combat is a ton of fun. The guns feel and sound awesome, and the bug enemies are varied and fun to shoot. I could write an entire paragraph or two about the combat so for the sake of brevity I'll just leave it at that.
  • Very stable, I haven't experienced one crash after 130 hours. Runs great on my years-old gaming computer (framerate can drop during really intense battles but actual lag is very rare). Hardly any glitches, which is really impressive for an early access game.
  • The community is fantastic, I almost exclusively play multiplayer missions and I can count the number of annoying players on one hand. You can communicate via text chat, voice, and each dwarf has a pointer tool and a couple emotes to guide their buddies during missions. "ROCK AND STONE!"
  • No microtransactions. All in-game equipment/cosmetics are bought with gold earned from missions, there is absolutely no way to buy stuff. There is a $15 "Supporter Upgrade" that comes with a couple unique cosmetic goodies, but that's it.

Tl;dr: Deeprock Galactic is a fun and stylish multiplayer co-op game that takes a lot of queues from Left 4 Dead. Play it.

EDIT: fixed a typo.
