I got this game on sale for less than 5 USD.

Very good game, though it's kinda short. Implements some of the map design philosophy of dark souls and the gameplay (combat system) feels a lot like Sekiro.


Long review:
If you play for the story only and not care for the secrets(lore) and discoverable collectables/cosmetics it will probably take around than 20h. It took me like 25h because i was half trying to find all the secret areas and hidden paths.

this game likes to do shortcuts like dark souls does. Often times I felt like I was in the Undead Burg in DS1 for reference. It will story-lock you out of some mechanics, which in turn lock u out of some areas in some maps, pushing the player to re-visit those maps when u get the ability necessary to use those mechanics. you'll see what I mean as you play.

Feels fun af to fight, very similar to Sekiro(stamina bar, parry/deflect mechanic, sort of deathblow mechanic kinda?), you feel like you need to git gud and soldiers wont be a pushover from the start.

Wish the game had more planets, though the amount it has is fine too.

I like the characters, they are all likeable and interesting. Was expecting a lot of cringy, corny dialogue, and there was some tbh but it wasn't that much. the MC personality carried most dialogues as he sounded most natural. Story was good.

This game has NO TELEPORT between safe-points (bonfires or idols in souls terms) WHICH IS AWESOME I love it fr.

No red colour for your lightsaber >:((((((

cosmetics are alright, nothing to sneeze at, but it's cool to have something to look for when exploring areas.

I think that's it. The game is great!! If u like souls games, and particularly Sekiro you will enjoy this game for sure!

I Pre-ordered this game knowing it would have flaws, because i believe in the evolution of this product, because Paradox has shown that they will make their games better and better as years go by. As it stands, a few weeks after release this game looks unpolished, has a few problems, but these i believe can and will be addressed in Patches, specifically performance in the later stages of the game. I bought this game as a vote of confidence in Paradox, but if I see that the content coming to the game in it's evolutions is not on par with my expectations as a consumer, I will not buy them and I will not invest in this product anymore, but for now, after 100 hours, I like it a lot.

This game is exactly what I wanted when I envisioned the sequel of Victoria 2. A political and economic simulator of the 19th century, right in the middle of the industrial revolution. From the tensions of geopolitics through diplomatic plays, to social upheaval represented in the pops, how interesting and bang-on the internal politics are (minus a few rare weird scenarios where the landowner and trade unions form a government lol). This game so far, in spite of it's flaws it's delivering, but it needs to grow, it needs to become not just good, but it needs to be great. I expect this game to become what HOI4 is now, that is to say their best most well developed and content-filled game.

do you like mindlessly shooting at demons and running around trying to save the earth? this game might be for you. it's just an arcade shooter. have some fun

you start with some workers and a Town Center(unless you're playing nomad)
you make buildings
you gather resources
make more buildings
make an army
destroy your opponent who is doing the same thing as you

That's it. that's the game, it's just an RTS but to me it's one of the best of all time and one i grew up with.
