The devs have shown they do not listen to, or care about, their community. For a game run on community generated content, this is a terrible sign. They have made a platform where people can make worlds and avatars for each other, for the community, and then turn around and make changes that most of the community does not want and has not asked for.

Even if they reversed their decision to add EAC, this shows how they view their relationship with the community, as overlords rather than participants. We will see if a game that runs on community produced content can function after losing it's core community.
