It fixed alot of the tedium that was present in XCOM1 and XCOM2, the "breach" start to each encounter stops the horrible hopping across the map in overwatch. Adds a nice and different tactical layer to it. Having the more unique charecters is nice as well. It's a different approach to the other games of completly expendable soldiers. And their skill trees are more unique, which means you cant use a perfect forumula each time. Overall an improvement to the franchise, I hope to see more to the City 31 story though, I feel I burned through it quickly. Im sure we will see DLC and addons, given the $10 intro sale price. Worth every dollar.

One of the more fun rougeish games i've played. The gun types differ quite a bit and make for a fun experience. The power ability/charecter differentiation is good. There are 2 sub-classes for each class and they feel different. So far I prefer the assassian but would love to play coop with a friend as engineer and see how that goes. The Empty Clip/Reload mechanic is... fresh but feels slightly redundant. Other novel mechanics (for me anyway) made this game worth it. It feels fresh each playthrough but I did finally notice on hour 7 some repeat use of the layout of the maps with just different skins/colors. Hopefully it wont feel boring. The boss fights are great, throughly enjoy each one.

What a great star wars game. The combat mechanics are pretty good, frustrating at times, but they force you to take things a bit more slowly. Button mashing wont get you where you need to be. Panicking will also set you back. Be methodical, be a Jedi and the game will bend to your will. Beautiful vistas, the RPG progression is solid. Only negative I can think of is the backtracking. Once you get certain abilities it opens up Path alternatives to rewards you would have needed to let go on your first visit to said "planet" Just seems an artificial way to prolong the game in higher difficulties. (*where you need said upgrades just to survive*) They do offer "shortcuts" through the map, but one wrong turn and you'll miss them entirely and spend hours running around to your destinations, fighting old enemies you've already killed 100 times before.

Remastered is great, then the Complex EVO Mod makes it 4x better.

Fun turn based strategy. I wish that the ships felt more unique, essentially the weapon arcs and systems just get a little more powerful, and the ships a little more tanky with armor. Still playing through the campaign, so im sure some of the blueprint unlocks are able to do this (nukes??) The over-arching strategy is pretty good too, aka meta game. Overall descent, I enjoy the ship to ship combat aspect. But damn these things arent very nimble. Be aware of your ships movements and the enemies, arcs and armor are very important, more so than they would imply.

Best game in the series. The Mechanics are nearly perfect, gameplay is refined and the new implementations of culture, re-tweaking of the religious faith system. Everything feels fresh. The map can come across as too busy at times, and the diplomacy system needs something more (Like Civ: BE RT, Diplomacy trading) other than those few gripes I play this game for hours on end.

Early Access Review
Cant wait to customize my civs. Early start to a great game, the UI is slick as the previous game, the tech tree is engaging and requires thought. Planetary development isn't a "build everything everywhere" kind of game. Maximize the resources you have where they are most valuable. Heros feel real and provide great bonuses. Best part of the game is the unique feel to each of the civs. The Cravers just consume the hell out of planets, you gotta keep moving at a furious pace across the galaxy, devouring everything in your path, it's not easy. Then there is the Jupiter Ascending like race that consumes other species to power up, you must use this faction specific resource to get ahead. The feel unique and each is a blast to play, I cant wait for the others! Space battles are pretty generic (but beautiful) and are mostly stat based affairs. You will find yourself watching nothing but the big events. Keeping your fleets updated with the most current tech, while balacing your resources and searching for more isn't easy. The polical side of the game is interesting as well. Every action that you take influences a certain faction. scientists for sciency things... industrialists for industry... you get the idea. But what starts as 1 dominant faction in your politics quickly changes. Different population mixes will also shake up your playstyle after the early game which keeps the whole affair feeling fresh even in late game.

Great Game, Slick UI, In Depth Civ's that feel real, intricate policial/population system, Non-Interactive but Beautiful space battles.

Amazing RPG, highly recommend it, much simpler interface than most RPG's with plenty of story and a great Fluid turn based combat system.
