Artyom is a young man who has been living in the dark tunnels of the Moscow Metro for the longest time. The nuclear war that wiped out the whole world left radiation, weird creatures and ruined cities on the surface. Living in this bitter reality made him, but it couldn’t take away his faith in tomorrow.

Artyom had his childhood at Exhibition Station, the smallest new place of people who instead of succumbing were putting their efforts together and living day by day as best as they could. Even as a baby, Artyom sensed that the tunnels were not the only thing. Instead of the boring and hot and dark place, he often pictured the world before and asked himself if anything beautiful still existed outside.

As he matured, he became a stalker. These are the very few men who are so brave as to go up to the surface and loot the silent streets and ruins of buildings. For Artyom, this is not so much a way of helping his station as it is an outlet through which he wants to grasp the world that mankind has lost.

Artyom is a man of few words but of great courage. He will be there for the people he loves and he will not leave the battlefield if it is a matter of helping someone. Even in the most terrible situations when he comes across mutants or the enigmatic Dark Ones, the courageous man keeps on going. He believes in the presence of hope for mankind deep down, notwithstanding that he lives among the people who no longer believe this.

His tale is not merely one of the fight for survival. It is also about maturity, fortitude and attempt to keep the tiniest bit of humanity alive in a world that has nearly wiped it out.

Артём – молодой человек, долгое время живущий в тёмных туннелях московского метро. Ядерная война, уничтожившая весь мир, оставила на поверхности радиацию, странных существ и разрушенные города. Жизнь в этой горькой реальности закалила его, но не смогла лишить веры в завтрашний день.

Артём провёл детство на Выставочной станции – самом маленьком новом месте, где люди, вместо того чтобы сдаться, собирали силы и жили изо дня в день, как могли. Ещё младенцем Артём чувствовал, что туннели – это не всё. Вместо скучного, жаркого и тёмного места он часто представлял себе мир прежних времён и спрашивал себя, есть ли ещё что-то прекрасное за его пределами.

Повзрослев, он стал сталкером. Это те немногие мужчины, которые отваживаются подняться на поверхность и грабить безмолвные улицы и руины зданий. Для Артёма это не столько способ помочь своей станции, сколько отдушина, через которую он хочет постичь мир, утраченный человечеством.

Артём — немногословный, но невероятно храбрый человек. Он будет рядом с теми, кого любит, и не покинет поле боя, если нужно кому-то помочь. Даже в самых ужасных ситуациях, сталкиваясь с мутантами или загадочными Тёмными, этот отважный человек не сдаётся. В глубине души он верит в существование надежды для человечества, несмотря на то, что живёт среди людей, которые в неё больше не верят.

Его история — это не просто история борьбы за выживание. Она также о зрелости, стойкости и попытке сохранить хотя бы крошечную часть человечества в мире, который практически уничтожил его.
