This title has given me so many hours of enjoyment. I believe its the first game I have seen that had a horrible release but has fought its way back by actually taking the time to listen to and provide for they consumer base.
It has only gotten better over time. There are still glitches like just about any game out there, but I haven't encountered anything game breaking in 300+ hours so far. Only 1 crash, and 2 times I got stuck and had to reload from the previous autosave. Considering this game autosaves a ton of times, I didn't have much time lost.
Overall a wonderful experience for me, and I would highly recommend it. Even at retail price you will get never ending play time out of it.

It won't be reflected on my steam profile, but i literally have many thousands of hours on this title with an average of 16 hours a week for 8 years. I havent ever finished the campaign, but was amazed that its basically a two parter in one release. I won't spoil it for you guys though.

The main aspect i play is the Multiplayer on Lan, since they took down the online hosted servers. I have maxed out more than 7 characters with well over 1 million bounty on each reaching gold ranks, working on the 8th. Not trying to brag, just stating how much this game has kept myself and many friends entertained.

I noticed as well that even if you have the old version on disk or the new steam version, that they seem to play well together so long as you have the updates the same for both. Again, only on Lan, i try to stay away from Hamachi and such, and haven't seen if there is any possible net play on steam servers.

As well, i have kept a list of over 70+ modded community maps running for many years, i was amazed how much support this game didn't get from the publishers, but the community spent so much time on it regardless. Tons of fun to be had finding all the parkour spots to get to on each and every map.

If you are looking for a slightly dated game with quality graphics for its era, and even now i won't complain about them compared to many titles, and just want a long and challenging campaign, then pick this game up for sure.

Note: If you do wish to do the multi-player side of it, unless there is a way to play on steam servers, or you have a Lan setup at home to play, then unfortunately it wont do much for you as there are no bots to play against.

This looks like a simple game on the surface but kept me going 5+ hours my first time as i kept unlocking and upgrading my character more and more. I know nothing of the original storyline this game originates from, but as a standalone for me, it is a great adventure grind as i have to plan my attacks ahead of time and keep seeking newer and better gear, also learning when to stay and fight or tactically retreat. I will continue to play this title and recommend it to others.

What can i say, .69 cents well spent! I had a blast with my friend just laughing at how rough cut it was while trying to play. But i got really good at it. Since then they added a bunch of content. I even nominated it for THE “THE WHOOOAAAAAAA, DUDE! 2.0” AWARD. On the premise of just goofing around, and if you get it at a cheap price, I would then recommend buying it. Remember, the cost of a cup of coffee or a movie will give you less entertainment, just make sure to have someone to play with.

I find this to be a really well balanced game, with great diversity of the races. It contains many side aspects other than just building your armies and smashing them together. You feel a lot of reward when accomplishing take-overs or various areas, and clearing out dungeons, but you also feel loss deeply when that gold medal wearing unit gets destroyed.

Having a 3rd party launcher with secondary rights management is getting a little tedious nowadays, but Triumph didn't make it too painful. I just wish they would make full use of Valve's Steam software and do away with all the extra management of our games, "I'm just here to play and enjoy!".

Regardless i have really enjoyed the time i have played so far and look forward to much more time spent on this version. I had played the earlier versions and found them all to be good, so they have not dissapointed with this latest one.

Well, i have to say that so far i am pleasantly pleased with the game. It adds some suspense, and keeps you on the move to survive, at least for the first while so far, although i am only into it for just over an hour at this point. The odd thing can be found but for the most part its a fairly balanced grind to find the items needed to craft improved weapons and armor, of which they are fairly diverse in visuals, which is nice to see. You dont have infinite storage, you really have to earn your stoarge capacity from what i can see, so be choosy on what you pick up or need to keep, as bag space will keep you working until you have crafted some good quality packs, and some storage lockers.

Its got a nice older gritty feel to its graphics, yes its not the be all end all, but im more into immersion from my games. That leads me to sounds, they have done well, directional and atmospheric audio, you can actually get warnings of directions you may not wish to go, or you may find that illusive deer by its call. A good headset will allow you to avoid, or go right to, the spot you need to.

The server sizes are small, and its easy to work together, as opposed to the KOS style of larger servers where everyone feels they have to fight eachother to survive. This seems more oriented toward a group based survival againt the elements, nature, and mythology :)

I haven't run into anything gamebreaking or glitching, so far everything works well, and its just a matter of time til i can progress to where i feel safe and secure in the game, so i will definately keep playing this one and give it my approval. Looking forward to playing with a few of you soon.

I really enjoyed how much of my life was stolen by this seemingly simple game. It made me quite grateful for having the opportunity to see the sun rise many mornings in a row, disallowing myself the chance to sleep in pusuit of pirate golds and aztec treasures, all while becoming immersed in the need to maintain the health, happiness and full tummy's of my randomly gathered colonists.

I am still playing, and the aztec gold still alludes me, but i am definately nearing my final goals, i can sense it!

The waypointing is great in this game, the A.I. is wonderful, and if you like to be occupied for hours at a time this game is definately for you. Alot of micro-management, and enough time in-between everything to keep planning out your necessities. The map and the expansion process are quite static, but with the way it was put together its like a little story adventure and they could make literally millions of maps for this game, and i think they should :) The save system is great, as you always just pick up where you left off without even having to click save, even after a power outage or three ..... :(
Oh and there is even small splashes of a mini-game that i wont spoil for you.

Altogether i really feel it is a solid title with solid programming, and i have enjoyed it thoroughly. And its a game that fits all age groups.

Its been fun so far, and since i come from playing magic and and wow trading cards, this is a simple shift for me, with some nice graphical polish and animation. If you are trying it out for the first time feel free to use my invite code C8AC8 and i hope to see a few of you in there.

So far so good, im only into it a little ways but after reading some very valuable guides posted by others, i quite enjoy the game. Its challenging to say the least. I play "A Game of Dwarves", and "Terraria", etc. So this fits right in, but i like all the little features of it for strategizing.

Worth the price in my honest opinion.
