Loved the game. Took 2 hours to finish the first playthrough, enjoyed every bit of it.

Great story telling, dialogs, mini puzzles and world building. Everything looks great and UI works just as it should. I love the design choices and the direction Bithell took for the story.

If you're a kind of person who enjoys interactive stories, sci-fi world building be sure to pick this up. If you're unsure about whole "interactive story with minimal gameplay" thing, Subsurface Circular is a great place to start!

I would love them to integrate Steam Trading Cards and badges with the game, so many great possibilities!

Early Access Review
Without going through items, levels and lane clearing this is straight up PVP. I love the characters, the gameplay and the visual style.

Feel of the game is something I value in video games. And as someone who likes fighting genre Absolver feels amazing. Fighting is mind blowing, you really have train and think thorough about your actions, and your opponent's. Graphics are nice, map design is clever. For the price point it's an amazing purchase.

I'm not a MechWarrior fan from childhood or I don't have an idea about it's lore but this game is so good.

Pros
  • It has a really good tactical depth with great customization.
  • Teamwork is essential.
  • Graphics are really good, UI ingame is good.
  • It's fun, it has both short quick matches and longer more tactical faction matches.
  • First 25 matches gives you good credit bonus to buy your own mech. After that it looks a bit grindy tho. (This is a free to play game, I don't have a problem with it)

Cons
  • Trial mechs could be better equipped.
  • Ingame UI is good but menu interface could be better for newcomers.
  • There should be information about buying/building your own mech, what does all those terms mean in mech customization etc.
  • This is my only real problem: Sounds need to be better, I have 5+1 soundsystem but game doesn't make me feel like i'm in a mech and there is a huge war going on, it needs more immersive sounds.

I don't know about it's past but I think it's in a very good state right now. It's fun challenging and has a good depth to it's gameplay. If you love the idea of these sorts of thing with big badass mechs, get in.

Finally this is a rare thing for me: I don't feel the need to buy ingame currency for progressing, but I want to, for supporting devs.

8/10

This is the best complete package simulation game you can get on Steam. It has great physics, great graphics, great sound. lots of cars and tracks. Ok AI and Online. Developers are awesome. Mods are awesome. If you're getting into sim games, or if you are a simracer, you should have this game in your library.

Best multiplayer game ever.

After making this review on 30 March, 2011 Team Fortress 2 is still going strong, still has great humour, gameplay and mechanics.
