It's a very addicting grind, though it is definitely a grind. The foundation for a great game is here, but at present it feels like a borderline asset flip due to the emptiness of the world and relatively small playable area. There's definitely a lot to keep you busy, whether it's building up and maintaining your tavern, or exploring the wilds to do the game's handful of quests. The quest do however ring pretty hollow when they all essentially follow the same structure of "Find NPC>help NPC>Cook for NPC" with almost zero reward for doing so other than an achievement.

It's a fun game, and it only gets more so with friends, but if you're not too sure about it yet i'd say wait for a few content updates. There's something good here, it just hasn't been quite fully fleshed out yet.

It's a carbon copy of Ark with Pokemon in place of dinosaurs. It's fun for the first 20 levels and then it devolves into a messy grindfest. It's sub-reddit and community has some of the most toxic positivity I've ever seen. It's EXHAUSTING trying to find any decent content about the game that isn't just people either blindly sucking the game off, or trying to ragebait people using braindead takes while namedropping other beloved franchises, pokemon or no.

It's worth a play if you have friends, but it's gameplay is a mile wide and an inch deep.

I could overlook it being a step back from Payday 2 as that's been a complete game for awhile now and had a chance to grow, I could overlook the skill systems being a watered down version of the perk decks. I could overlook all the game's flaws if i could only actually PLAY the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game i bought three days ago.

Yeah... this ain't it. it's creative, and definitely a lot more engaging than something like Dauntless, but it runs like complete ass and coop is one of the laggiest experiences i've encountered. Just do yourself a favor and play Monster Hunter instead.

What even is this game? It's like Sega saw Elden Ring getting good reviews and just kinda stuck gary's mod sonic assets everywhere and threw you into it. The game doesnt even explain some of the basic features of gameplay unless you happen to catch them on loading screens, and a lot of the story just feels like you're being jerked around and told "LOOK AT THIS NOW" over and over again without any context.

Incredibly addicting, and very easy to pick up and put down

It's.... more borderlands? What more is there to say? It's more busywork to do while leveling a character and creating a build. The story is awful, the villains are awful, and the humor is.. hoo boy, is the humor bad. This is what you get when you think literally everything in your game has to be tiny tina levels of lolrandomz. They think everyone who enjoys their games are 12, and it's suuuuper cringe.

The gameplay is fun at least, but that's really just because it really isnt much different than any previous borderlands game. Though i will say the character builds in this game leave a lot more to be desired than 1 and 2 did.


It's okay. don't buy it at full price.

The Paper Mario game Nintendo for some reason refuses to give the fans. I love this game far more than i thought i would going in.

EDIT: Having nearly finished the game now, id like to come back to edit my review and add that this is one of the best games i've ever had the pleasure to own. Seriously, play this game.

I love it. completely recaptures everything that was great about the original games, without most of the stuff that wasn't.

Pretty good until the game turns into Resident Evil 6 with surviving constant impossible explosions and accidents, and beyond cheesy one liners. No thanks. Definitely not worth the full AAA price, Still decently fun though.
