I have thirty hours in this game and I've only made it to the peak like twice because I'm too busy being the funniest scout alive very briefly before becoming the funniest scout who was alive twenty seconds ago

the base game is already great for spending evenings with friends but grab the mods that let you uncap match length and melt your GPU and it'll never get old.

If you are in any way a fan of Kodaka (Danganronpa) or Uchikoshi (Zero Escape) 's works, this is your game. This is probably both of these creators' magnum opus.

The Hundred Line is a visual novel with a thirty-hour tutorial and the most robust branching story I have ever had the pleasure to read through. It pulls off the magic trick of recontextualizing Kodaka's usual ridiculous ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (affectionate) into comforting breaks from a complex and multilayered mystery about what the hell is going on all the time everywhere. I have not played Zero Escape but I'm sure another review can help elucidate what it's like coming at this from the perspective of a Zero Escape fan.

I was figuring new ♥♥♥♥ out literally up until the final minutes of my playthrough and I think there's a red spot on my forehead from how many times I'd put palm to face and yell "oh so THAT's what happened!" and honestly it never gets old. I think I need a rest right now but I imagine a second playthrough would feel AMAZING.

please do yourself a favor and play this game. it is a masterpiece.

UNBEATABLE knows what the hell it is and it's everything the team thought would be cool as hell. If you want eight hours of watching artists have fun and bringing you along for the ride this is your game.

You can kinda see its bones sometimes - that is, there are some bugs. For example, the fixed camera angles can sometimes leave you lost as they fail to follow Beat off-screen for a transition for a little too long. But for every one of those moments there's a hundred where this is the most stylish game you've ever seen. There's a little dirt in the paint, but it's all good.

Arcade mode is awesome, the soundtrack ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bangs and it double bangs after going through story mode. Tons of cool cosmetic options to grab, too, just because it's cool.

I remembered how this game ends while cooking dinner tonight and started crying.

The first cyberpunk game in years to feel like it's doing more than just borrowing the aesthetics of the genre and paying some token respects. Killer writing, stellar character design, excellent mystery. Play this game.

A new vision for cyberpunk, a new vision for detective VNs, a truly singular video game that you should purchase and play immediately.
