This game is by far my favorite game and it has so many good things going for it, however like any fighting game it is super hard to get into if you are not experienced with fighters, but the game offsets this with the best tutorial and combo trials I have ever seen.

The tutorial teaches you the full game and about fighting games in general which is fantastic, the combo trials show off the characters and walks you into the character and ranks up the combos like most games typically do, but the Advanced and Expert level combos are genuinely super good and let you play the game just fine learning one of those to use as a BnB.

The training mode also has tons of tools you can use for learning the game and the character you play and if you just spend some time labbing it will help you become a far better player.

Outside of all the great learning tools the game offers for new and older players, the actual game is fantastic with a large variety of fun and unique characters and the game play is super on point, playing this game you will come to understand that there is a lot of long ranged attacks, the game is pretty grounded, and that the inputs are pretty simple, but this is just a trap.

The skill floor is low to start playing right away with friends, but the skill ceiling gets very high very fast as you come to learn that there is so much going on in the game and the mechanics run deep.

I highly recommend this game more as its amazing and if you want to use Mizuumi Wiki[wiki.gbl.gg] to learn about the mechanics first I do recommend that, but the lab, trials, and tutorial are so good you can play without a wiki, which to me is mind blowing.

When I first bought this game, I refunded it since my monitor was 1920 x 1200 which they did not support, the game looked super blurry and the black bars bugged me. The day just after I refunded it I bought it again since the game was way too good to just give up over something like that, it also I helped I changed monitors later anyways too.

Biggest issue I have with this game now though is at launch the PC port was horrible, and Akatsuki does not say CHESTO loud enough, they fixed the PC port issue but still have not fixed making Akatsuki say CHESTO as loud as he can.

I have never been able to play any fighting game that was this satisfying and fun to play and one with near as many different ways to play since every single character is different.

Fighting games run off of passion and love in my opinion, if you are new to fighting games and are looking for one good for you then don't look too hard for just the right one, cause often times what makes people play these games is getting hooked to a story or a character or just how it looks to you.

Don't be scared to jump into it cause if you pick a character you like, may it be game play, looks, or the story for them, you will get good at them and you will improve and have a great time as long as you understand the importance of learning through losing and taking time to practice.

All there is left to say without making this review longer is that the music is perfection, the visuals all look great, the inputs feel smooth and it's not the hardest game to pick up but insanely hard to master and become very good at.

It is true there is a good amount of mechanics and it may seem scary now perhaps but its not that bad and you will understand it with just some time playing so don't be afraid to learn and enjoy the game, there are tons of resources to use to learn and I recommend Dustloop since that website has about everything you need.
