I bought this on a whim with absolutely 0 prior knowledge of Warhammer (and without much desire to get into it to be perfectly honest) and I have to say it's one of my favourite CRPGs now. It's like 50% XCOM and 50% Wrath of the Righteous, fans of either series will have a great time. The worldbuilding is fascinating and never felt overwhelming to someone with no prior knowledge of the series, the cast is a lot of fun, and combat feels great. My only criticisms are that character building is pretty overwhelming at first, with a huge list of skills that the player needs to sort through to find the ones with actual impact (though it's still better than WOTR in that regard) and that some of the more impactful narrative scenes would be even better if they were voiced, (though Owlcat seems to be adding more voiced dialogue as time goes on). Still though, it's a solid 9/10.
