If you go into Scorn expecting a first person shooter you'll probably be disappointed.
If you go into Scorn expecting a puzzle game you'll probably be disappointed.
Even if you go into Scorn expecting an adventure game you'll probably be disappointed.
But if you go into Scorn expecting to feel total alienation then you might just be enormously satisfied.
I don't know if there's a single other game that so viscerally depicts a completely strange and unforgiving world, and to me that experience is worth more than enough to make up for sparse combat, often frustrating puzzles and uneven game design.
If you feel the same way then maybe you should give Scorn a try.
