It´s me!
It was a Friday evening, and there I was—Tim "Antim8_23" J., ready for another CS
match on Dust II. I’d like to think my friends admired my precision and cool composure in-game, though maybe that was just what I told myself. Either way, I was feeling confident. Tonight, though, things were about to take a turn I didn’t see coming.

Round 1: We started as Terrorists. I bought my trusty AK-47 and led the charge with my team towards A-site. My plan was simple: wait, surprise the enemy, and then—bam—the perfect headshot. I took up my position, ready to strike. Suddenly, I saw movement. "This is it," I thought. I lined up my shot, held my breath, and… bam—headshot. The problem? It wasn’t an enemy. It was Max, my own teammate, who had wandered into my crosshairs.

“Tim, you idiot!” Max yelled, laughing. I tried to play it cool, saying, “Tactical team kill, just to confuse the enemy.” But inside, I was dying of embarrassment. Great start, right?

Round 2: Determined to make up for it, I played this round carefully. I grabbed my AWP and headed toward mid, waiting for the perfect shot. The tension was building. Finally, an enemy stepped into my sights. I took a deep breath, pulled the trigger, and… click. Nothing. My AWP wasn’t loaded.

Before I could react, I felt a sharp pain in my back—an enemy had knifed me from behind. My team couldn’t stop laughing: “Antim8_23 strikes again!” I just stared at my screen in disbelief, wondering how this night could get any worse.

Round 3: Now, I was on a mission to redeem myself. I bought another AK-47, determined to finally make a difference. The match was tight, and the pressure was on when we planted the bomb. I was the last man standing for my team, the only hope left to guard the site.

I crouched behind a crate, waiting for the enemy to make a move. Seconds were ticking down. Suddenly, I spotted the enemy trying to defuse the bomb. This was my moment! I jumped out of cover and opened fire... only I didn’t hit the enemy. Instead, I ended up shooting at the bomb itself. My bullets ricocheted off the crate, hitting nothing but air. In a panic, I rushed toward the enemy, but it was too late. The bomb was defused.

“Tim, why the hell are you shooting the bomb?!” my team shouted. I had no answer. It was one of those moments where my brain just short-circuited. Yeah, it wasn’t my finest hour.

Round 4: It all came down to this final round, and I could feel the disappointment hanging in the air. But I refused to give up. With a mixture of anger and determination, I grabbed the bomb and shouted, “Guys, I’ve got this. Trust me.” I sprinted toward B-site, with my team right behind me. The plan was simple: plant the bomb, hold the site, win the game.

And you know what? I actually managed to plant the bomb. Time was ticking down, and for a brief moment, it looked like my plan was going to work. But then disaster struck. I was so focused on guarding the site that I didn’t notice an enemy lob a flashbang my way. Suddenly, I was blind. In my panic, I smashed every key on my keyboard, trying to regain control.

“I can’t see! Help!” I shouted into the mic. But instead of retreating to safety, I accidentally sprinted straight into enemy territory and got gunned down immediately. The bomb was defused yet again, and we lost the match. The tragedy was complete.

After the game, there was a moment of stunned silence in the team chat. Then, one by one, my friends started laughing. I couldn’t help but join in.

“Well, at least I planted the bomb,” I said, trying to salvage a bit of dignity.

One of my friends replied, “Tim, you’re the only person who can turn a sure victory into a crushing defeat. But hey, without you, our games wouldn’t be nearly as fun!”

And that’s how my match as Tim "Antim8_23" J. ended—equal parts tragic and hilarious. Sure, I made more mistakes than I care to count, but deep down, I knew one thing: I was the heart of the team, even if my bomb defusal tactics needed a bit of work.

But one thing was for sure: I’d be back for the next game, just as determined—and probably with a few more funny blunders to entertain everyone.
