I'll be honest, this isn't Jeff Winner's best game.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the game, and I think his work is highly underrated. I still stand by my opinion that Hallowseed deserved at least 200,000 copies, that game was really unjustly overlooked, had a terrible publisher, and was misunderstood by a lot of people.

As for DeathOmen,
The game has great pacing and delivers everything it needs to. It also keeps a lot hidden, and I actually understand why. The game wants you to decide for yourself what happened, though it’s pretty clear about the truth, hidden in symbols, texts, and throughout the progression of the game.

I won’t spoil it, but the game’s ending is genuinely intriguing.
Again, it's a very underrated game, and I believe if the right people play it and understand its concept, it could easily become a cult horror classic.

The game is great, and I totally recommend it. It's only $3.99 at full price. Anyone complaining about such a cheap game is a loser.

Well, what can I say about Chupacabra Hunt?
Is it a good game?
Is it a bad game?
Here's what I think:
Players here on Steam are extremely unsympathetic towards small indie developers.
I saw the few reviews the game received, and honestly, it's depressing to see such immaturity and stupidity disguised as knowledge.
I say this because when one of these jerks comes to criticize an indie game, they judge it as if the developer were a top-tier veteran charging them a fortune for an unfinished game...
Wait, no, that's what the big companies these idiots worship do.
Now, let's get to reality:
Is Chupacabra Hunt an excellent game?
No.
Is it well optimized?
Not at all, the guy urgently needs to learn how to fix this.
So, is the game fun?
Well, I kind of enjoyed it a little, and I think if the dev puts in some effort, he can really improve this product.

What I don't like about the game:
It's poorly optimized.
It has no save system; every time I die, I go back to the beginning of the game, even after killing a bunch of monsters and unlocking achievements.

What do I like about the game?
I’m not sure yet. I think for a game that costs less than $5, made by a small dev who’s probably still learning... it's a game that has the potential to improve.

My rating for the current version is 5/10.
But, keep going, man. Put in more effort and stop focusing on asset flips.
There are plenty of tutorials you can use to learn how to make more original stuff.

I bought this game because it's so well-reviewed.
I am starting to think this community loves crap games.
Man, I literally jump in front of the ghost several times before she realizes she is mad at me and then she kills me instantly hahaha.

I bought this game, recommended by a friend, and to be honest, I didn't expect much.
1 - It is a game made by only one developer.
2 - It has negative reviews from some high level players.
3 - It is publishd by 1C.

Okay, despite all these concerns...

I played about 3 hours to finish and it was missing an Achievement, this would be the alternative ending which I preferred not to do, because I would have to accept the devil's deal.

Well, this is clearly a Christian game, in which the developer chose to make the character (Michael), go through a spiritual discovery.
Michael goes from a clueless guy to a powerful exorcist in a very organic and unpretentious way.
Prophecies are revealed, he was the chosen one.
The game ends with a cliffhanger for a sequel, and it also leaves some questions, which will likely never be answered unless the dev decides to make a prequel.
But it has an end, the story has a conclusion, don't worry about it.

Now I repeat but with a different perspective

1- A game made by a solo dev.
You should not wait for a AAA game, except by the beautiful Graphics, Extraordinary sounding, Deep atmosphere and amazing story.

2 - It has negative reviews from some high level players.
I learned to watch the profile of the reviewer before trusting in his "review"
My experience was really good, seriously, way beyond my expectations, and 100% opposite to what several players said here.
No seriously, It was so obvious, that some of them were just craping their reviews, to promote the hate for this developer and this game.

The game is not perfect.
Man, it's far from perfect, but wtf are you waiting from the first game of a solo dev?

Well, I'm done.

The game is good and I'm looking forward to play new games by Jeff Winner.

Why does this game have so many negative reviews?
I bet it's those teenagers.
