it just works

Dark Souls 3 is still a great From Software game to this day. It does well, perfecting the gameplay loop established in DS1 with some of the best bosses ever featured in an Action/RPG to date, all while integrating some of the better ideas from DS2. It's absolutely packed with content even without the DLCs and with them, holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you're in for a lot of hours of gameplay. Most of my opinions are from years of playing on the PS4 version, but with this being the PC master race and all, rest assured that this platform takes the came to new heights.

The main campaign offers some great variation of locations, compared to the castle overload of DS2. Still would have liked a little less fan service and a longer and less ♥♥♥♥♥♥ forest area, but you can't have everything. DLCs are pretty heavy on the castles. Not gonna lie. Nothing comes close to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the demon ruins of DS1 or the Iron Keep of DS2. It's all pretty cool tbfh.

PVP is as iffy as ever but still enjoyable if you're into the series. Definitely the most stable it has ever been, even if that is not saying a lot. Very heavily skewed towards Longsword type weapons, just like the last two games, but it's kind of to be expected. Git Gud and you'll find that cheap, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deaths due to cheesing or connection latency in PVP are pretty rare compared to the other souls games (but they happen).

All in all, this a very good game. It's even better to me, because I picked it up for 75 % off, and so can you for the next 4 days (as of May 15 2019.) Bought it for a couple of my silly little buddies that have been scared to play Dark Souls too so that they can see what it's all about.

This game has everything you could ever ask for in an XCOM re-make. It expands on the concept and delivers high quality gameplay, graphics and sound design. In contrast to the Firaxis XCOM re-boot, this game retains the micro management aspect of base building and maintainence instead of skipping over those details for the sake of getting into more ground combat action. It's basically like a HD version of the original XCOM but with some added features and a cool cold-war era setting. I like it. :$
