(The bad) Wish we could soak up the game world more with bigger play areas w/ more time or no limits.. But the developer's need to scale the game to work on console & quest systems I assume??

(The Good) Other than those negatives this game is very rich with lore & the game play mechanics are freaking fantastic. If you have yet to play this in 2022 I recommend this as a top VR pick. I'm no reviewer obviously, but I play a crap ton of VR so take my opinion to heart. Its a dam* good game get it an enjoy killing those walkers.

Wow this latest patch (1.50) is amazing. It almost feels like Im going against real ppl some time. If you want to workout and have fun, this be it!

It's disheartening to see Barbaria gaining attention only now that YouTubers have discovered it. Despite being an Early Access title, many other inferior games in the same stage receive more recognition than this one did.

That being said, this game is truly fantastic. I find myself playing it multiple times a week, and the developers have been consistently providing updates. I genuinely wish the best for these developers, as they truly deserve the recognition they are finally receiving.

Barbaria's style and combat are top-notch, and fun especially if you're a fan of games like Gorn or other sword combat titles. It does have its moments of challenging gameplay that can sometimes feel unfair. I haven't had the chance to try the latest launch update yet, but I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing the additions and improvements they've made.

One standout feature is the ability to manage your own base with minions to fight alongside you. You have the freedom to customize it to your heart's content, although there are some restrictions on where and how closely you can position fighters and traps. These limitations help maintain a fair gameplay experience. The developers are quite responsive to bugs, promptly addressing and fixing them.

The inclusion of magical moves adds an extra layer of fun to the combat and can be unlocked through interesting arenas or purchased with in-game currency. Additionally, if the bird sounds became bothersome, you can easily address that by adjusting the settings on the record player to disable ambient noises. Goodbye, pesky bird chirps!

In conclusion, while it's disappointing that this game didn't receive attention earlier, it's truly a gem worth exploring. The stylish combat, base management mechanics, prompt bug fixes, and enjoyable magical moves make it a must-try for fans of sword combat games. Stay tuned for the launch update, as it promises to bring even more exciting content.

To those looking for a open world game I would def check this one out SoLo or w/a Crew.

Looks like I will come back to this game.. it ran okay then it didn't plus its got a bad bug problem..

(1st off) Hard mode is to easy that person complaining about not enough hand hold good lord get a grip.

This game is a nice change of pace compared to my recent favorite games Pav zombies, After The Fall,
SURV1V3,(2 Man Dev Team too) & of course I play Alyx daily modded to the max. I feel you can't compare this to much with Alyx as it wouldn't be fair to the 2 dev team. Yes, .. Yes.. it barrows some game play ques. Actually what these 2 have done is quite amazing. To many VR/non VR Zed games feel hollow and incomplete while this feels pretty solid. Id compare these guys to Xreal dev's with the game Zero Caliber. Of course i'm talking about before they sold their souls to FB/Meta for all them Quest 2 sales numbers.. The campaign feels very comparable as well as fleshed out to that game with comparable voice acting / sounds. The game looks and runs really really good! not Alyx good but it look gud when your creeping the hallways of abandon buildings now the sky box needs to be HD'ified but other than that its good well worth the $20.00 usd It does have some odd bugs where zombies are god mode day one bugs tho..

Plz add crouch button.

I find Carbon Studio's as a very good dev studio. They make some great games, I started with the sequel to this game and am finding this one a bit more.

I've only put about 3 hours into it, got the two Wizard games in a nice cheap bundle makes it very worth it.

I would even say play this one 1st then move on from here.
