one of my favorite story games ive ever played, if not my favorite. the voice actor change from re2r definitely threw me off and overall i dont think shes as good, but she definitely grew on me after a while. i loved the darker take on leon, im really glad i played re2r before this game because i dont think i would have liked leon nearly as much without it. the story is great, graphics are fantastic, and the combat is really fun. there were some pretty difficult and memorable fights. the chainsaw twin things are some of my favorite mini-boss enemies in any game ive ever played. overall, 10/10 game for me

one of the most cinematic and intense story games ive played in a WHILE. the pacing is really good, the voice acting is great, all of the characters are really likable, and the graphics/animations are actually beautiful especially for being over a decade old. overall, 9.5/10, my only issue with the game was there were very few large fights but the large fights they had were really fun and cool.

i can't recommend to anyone unless you hate yourself but love being paranoid (and annoyingly hard games)

This game has a lot of potential but it misses in so many areas, the game looks pretty but the environments are really bare and not that interesting. my biggest issue is the fact that the travel between planets is so lame and boring. there is fast travel but i dont like fast travel in my games. so going from planet to planet basically take 3-5 loading screens. its just not a very fun game in my opinion. combat also feels really lame.

honestly, its not a horrible experience. 90% of the game was ruined from bugs for me. from small things like an animatronic's ai breaking, all the way to the game not despawning an invisible wall (in the show stage elevator) making it impossible to progress (i had to cheat to get through that section). overall its not an awful experience, the fnaf lore is overly complicated and not very interesting anymore (i mean seriously, how many times can one man burn in a fire and come back for an encore?). the gameplay is fairly decent with there being multiple endings to find and a lot of places to back track to once you have higher security cards.

if im being honest, while this game wasnt a terrible experience, it was far from pleasant. the daycare section was cool, and the animatronics designs are all pretty neat, i just cant recommend this game. i wish i had the sense to refund this game an hour after buying it instead of playing the whole game and the dlc, which admittedly the dlc was good but i think people make it out to be better than it is because of the pretty meh experience its attached to. if you have a spare couple hundred dollars lying around with nothing to do with it, i guess i could recommend this game... after i recommend 50 other games i find more enjoyable (like hollow knight, life is strange, terraria, or any of the other titles in this franchise).

i hope to see more out of fnaf that takes it back to its roots a little, fnaf isnt meant to be a triple a game. it just doesnt work in this format. its not a bad game (nor is it really *good*), its just a bad fnaf game. im excited for the movie and help wanted 2 but other than that if the future of fnaf looks anything like security breach or ruin im not looking forwards to it.

Early Access Review
At this point (after nearly 125 more hours than my last review) i'm pretty confident i can give a better review than i did last time.

lets start with the pros.
-incredible atmosphere- this one is pretty self explanatory. from the very beginning you are placed in a familiar world (familiar due to it just being earth), however you see it in a completely new perspective. as a normal human your backyard can seem boring, normal, small, but in this game it becomes a dangerous huge world of alien feeling creatures that can kill you at any minute. from the ants, to bombardier beetles, to wolf spiders this world feels like a completely new planet even though its just a normal backyard.
-progression is rewarding- starting out in a game, you feel completely defenseless and scared. you are running away from any thing you see even if it doesn't even want to kill you. it feels like a dangerous hell scape in which everything is attempting to feast on your flesh. after a while you get your first tier two weapon and you begin easily killing bees, mosquitos, and orb weavers. then, after grinding, killing, death,
analyzing, and more death, (did i mention death? you die a lot in this game) you finally can beat the broodmother or antlion and you can finally unlock your first, tier three weap- oh what? you just... got the mint mace... oh ok... yeah you can do that too... but now, with your first tier three weapon, labs and enemy's you thought were hard become NOTHING.
-lots to explore and do- in this game, there is so much you can do, from finding a way to get on top of the bird bath, to finding completely new biomes you had no idea existed is just so fun. even after having a world non-stop since i began playing all those hour ago there is still things i wanna do.
-SOME enemys are fun to fight- the majority of battles in this game (no matter how many attempts it may take) feel fun and rewarding. dying to an enemy just means next time you come back you'll be more prepared and ready to fight in a new way
-devs care a lot about the game- every few months we get a new and big update.... yeah... not much else to say other than... lots of new content frequently...
-very creative- this game is obviously inspired by the movie "Honey I Shrunk The Kids". this is one of my favorite childhood movies and to play it as a survival game is so fun. all the "biomes" of the game feel really unique, from a forest with grass as the trees to a sand box desert to a land with a poisonous air that you need special equipment to explore because of a leak in a weed killer. all the weapons, armor, environments, and story, it is all so unique and creative in the way its made.

now, as much as i love this game... we do have to talk about the negatives as it isn't all flowers and sunshine,
-this game is early access- This game is unfinished, meaning it has a lot of bugs (no pun intended). from enemys getting stuck in the ground, to a lady bug hitting you into a leaf and launching you half way across the map (sure its hilarious but still broken) the game is not finished. if you experience any glitches, go ahead and alert the devs!
-difficulty progression feels a little intense- the difficulty feels very broken. bombardiers and bees feel to easy compared to orb weavers and mosqitos. but they are all found in specific, far out of the way areas. but a very common enemy that roams spawn, the wolf spider, is very hard. need more proof? the labs. why do the orb weaver juniors in the hedge lab feel harder than actual orb weavers? what about the haze lab? why is the battle arena with all the infected bugs give me more trouble than the actual bosses in the game? the explosions are so op that its hard with some of the best gear in the game.
-its difficult to get started- with out knowing what to do or having a friend to guide you through it, its very difficult to even find out how to make a crafting bench or even just a hammer/axe. your first set of armor can be pretty tough to get. all of the strong bugs around areas nessasary to progress (if you rush into things) can make simple things like the oak lab very dangerous without knowing what lurks around the corner
-grindy- personally, i love how much you are required to grind in this game to get everything, but if you aren't prepared to chop down the entire backyard to make a house or kill the entire popualation of bees and black ants for a set of armor, this game isn't for you. (obviously those were exagerations.)

Overall, this game is one of my all time favorites and a go to after a stressful day. ofc it has its flaws and can be even more stressful than a regular day in real life but its still very fun. I highly reccomend for fans of "Honey I Shrunk The Kids" or survival games such as subnautica, minecraft, raft, etc, etc.
this game will make a perfect addition to your library!

This game is amazing! Its terrifying, atmospherically and in all other horror aspects, it is terrifying! I'm currently playing it on my yt channel and its been so fun! I highly reccomend buying this right after playing the first one! (also, controller is better to play it with than keyboard and mouse)
