Super fun and challenging. It the tower defense/castle building game of my dreams, fulfilling both the desire to build my own keep exactly the way I want it, and the desire to route and trap enemies in a wide open tower defense level.

At first, I thought this was an unworthy sequel to the amazing experiences that L4D1 had. Then I realized that this game is much more focused on Action, Spectacle, and FUN!
This is the only game I know of that allows such fast and easy and DRAMATIC changes via the Workshop. I have made several collections of add-ons that each completely change the tone of the game. You can play so many ways! Anime girls speaking Japanese and fighting off Xenomorphs, military-style mercs shooting demons, a rag-tag group of misfits trying to survive the BURGER apocalypse. The one thing that can't be improved is the GORE!

I lost count of the crashes, bugs and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that this game serves to you. Is it fun running a prison? Not when guards are letting prisoners die in solitary or by just letting them starve outside the prison gates. It's not fun when the game crashes not only itself but windows as well. It's not fun when simple mechanical annoyances are left in the game for years. Is it fun to run your own prison? Yes, when the game doesn't get in the way of that.

This game brings together some of my favorite elements of gameplay from across multiple genres and generations.
First off, the design of the ships and UI are a perfect meld of sci-fi and rustic pirate themes, bringing out regal facades and straight-up beautiful sail designs. The visual aesthetic of the maps calls to my favorite memories of Korean MMORPGS from around 2007, and I really mean this in the best way possible. It's 'minimal' in a way that is perfect for letting your imagination fill in the greater details, while allowing the amazing particle effects and combat take center stage. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love the way this game looks when 6+ players are engaged in direct combat. Allods Team has managed to achieve the same spectacular visual display during combat that is usually reserved for large-scale space-battle MMO’s and RTS games. I’m talking real vibes of Eve Online, or Sins of a Solar Empire here.
BUT that’s not even close to the best thing about this game. THE BEST THING IS
IT’S TF2 BUT WITH sPACE PIRATES
LAZER SPACE PIRATES, DAWWG
THERES LEGIT A MEDIC AND A SPY I’M NOT JOKING; Waiting to see a pyro equivalent (veryshort-range, mobile ship that checks for invisible players and buddies up with engies)
So, in conclusion, my favorite thing about this game is that when you watch the trailer, you know that while it may be a very cinematic depiction of the game, but it’s not lying. What it shows, is pretty much exactly what the game is like. If you’d be into that, then get in this game. I want more of my friends in here.
