Portal Stories: Mel isn’t just a good Portal mod, I will boldly say that this is what Portal’s fans want in the future on Steam. I don’t normally play Steam mods for a different numbers of reasons, but something about Portal Stories: Mel perhaps will change that. This game mod is done with care for the Portal franchise and attention to details, my full recommendation for Portal fans and frequent users that play Steam mods.

Some warnings I have to say: The mod plays exactly like Portal 2 but the level difficulty is higher than Portal 1 and even higher than Co-op levels in Portal 2. Although this is not a bad point for the game, it can be frustrating for causal fans that would like to play something more in the Portal setting.

Finally I would like to say, that for a mod the level of production and planning is higher than what I was expecting in a free mod. I still can’t believe this mod is FREE, even the sound track is FREE. Please if you are Portal fan give it a try and take the full challenge on. A great start for Prism Studios!
